I don't know how many people remember me from worlds, but I had a couple of big tricks (pork lift, surfing butterfly, jiggle walk...). When I got back I decided that I wanted to work on string length and this is the result. I hit a couple of cool tricks, but my main concern was big tricks in long strings. Anyway here it is in all it's glory...
One thing i noticed that can be fixed is the way you set from toe. Your pointing your knees in, which really doesn't look good. Also, i want to see way more flip osis stuff. other then that, nice vid. Thanks for posting it, make a lot of vids, it's fun to watch a style progress.
I agree with the above post; you are setting from your toe while pointing your knee inward, thus looking at the bag from the outside of your knee. I have the same problem, and the harder you put it off, the harder it becomes to fix, so I suggest getting on that.
Also, I think that your are wasting too much energy on tricks that don't call for it. In particular osis; I feel like you tried to make it bigger than it should be, with too much body movement (e.g. arm flailing).
I felt like you were really wild/out of control (although clearly naturally talented because you make it work by hitting some cool tricks). I know everyone always says this, but I'll do it anyways.. Work the basics on both sides for awhile. If you can be more efficient and precise with all your movements, your natural talent will really be able to take off. Challenge yourself to one full month of work on basics, and I'll bet you a dollar your rate of improvement ramps up MUCH faster thereafter.
edit: my intent is not to be an asshole.. There's plenty going right for you, and please focus on my "you have natural talent" compliment. It's just that sometimes a step back in this game allows you to take 20 steps forward.
I agree that your style is wild, and that will probably keep your technicality at a certain level until you get it under control, but DAMN, you're fun to watch!!!
i was just thinking how your blenders look JUST like jorden's, then you did flux and grifter, and THOSE look just like jorden's too! damn, ps rev whirl too.
zulu dyno, damn! and psrev whirl b2b, nice.
So I can definitely see that you've been working on your string length. you've got a really fun style. More drilling will only make it better.
I definitely see a huge improvement in run length. Way to be. It has yielded some cool trick variety as well.
You certainly have your own unique style and it's a lot of fun to watch. Take people's advice with a grain of salt. I'm sure you've been schooling the basics a lot to get where you are now.
Finally a Maine Shred vid good job man. This makes me want to get up there and kick so bad. DAMN YOU GAS PRICES!! Anyway awesome vid man keep it up, also next time show off some of those barflys you're so darn good at.
I see some Lon Smith in you. Once your style is more in control I think it will be really good.
I agree with the knee pointing in on your toe sets thing, but before you go crazy trying to fix it, remember that Lon sets to the outside a lot. The best thing is to just learn to do it both ways, inside your knee and outside.

lon is exactly who i thought of through the whole video. your whirls, and toe game reminded me a lot of lon. nathan is right on about learning it both ways. if you want a perfect example of this check out evan lovely's sjff video, see lons section, the crazy toe string. actually, watch the whole thing if you havent seen it.
