waylon u read my mind!!! with a plethora of new colour combinations running through my mind i was thinking about still using my thinner tulip/princess/leopard soft colours with the light colours so thanks for the tip!

i haven't posted here in a while, as i'm currently travelling outback australia ... but i'm still at it.
i have loved the 20-panel look since i saw the first one louis [gangsta] posted some time back, and i finally got around to making a few ...

my first attempt

bags #1-4 [left to right]

#1 ... supple blue leather, + tan facile [off an old coat] ... filled with polished crystal crumbs from a semi-precious stone tumbler [meaning it's too light for a freestyle bag, but cute

].
#2 ... green + yellow polar fleece ... filled with small aussie outback rocks and a few ball bearings [a little heavier, but still too light and bouncy for freestyle] ... great kicking bag though.
#3 ... black + red leather ... filled to 55 grams with bb's + plastic beads ... possibly the nicest bag i've ever stitched ... i LOVE it

#4 ... light grey, dark grey + white leather [all very supple] ... filled to 50 grams with bb's + polar fluff ... it's a beautiful freestyle bag and i love it also, just not as much as bag #3

size ... red/black bag is as much larger than a golf ball than the grey/white bag is smaller ... i'll leave you all to work that one out

.

why leather? ... because it makes for very durable bags and i love working with it, and if you know where to source the stuff used for luxury teddy bear paws, it's very soft and supple too

grant the bag looks very nice, my next one will be number 15 ha!

i like the colours too

and lotus really interesting bags, i love the look of 20 panels too and especially like the white and grey one

id be interested to see how supple leather plays, when i tried using some fake leather it was really thick and disgusting and accordingly made a thick and disgusting bag!

Lotus: Nice 20 panels Im really diggin' the red/black one. The stitching looks really consistent.

My latest creation:

Atlantis/Midnight. Medium Gather, 60grams all shot. Next to a playboy token for size reference. I believe it to be the size of a golfball..

Lotus, dude,
I've tried to stitch 20 panel bags...i admire your bags..they loook really nice, and the 20 panel model has really round form so i really want to try one for freestyle. Looks tempting

i personally love how the 20-panel bags look, feel, and play.
as far as i can tell, the consistent panel size gives it both a consistent set/bounce and a consistent stall point when it lands ... i'd like to hear it from a pro though, as i am a mere glorified hacky slacker with a few freestyle tricks

I personally like the 20 panels better. They seem to break-in faster, stall easier, and the sets are just as accurate.

I have a 20-panel from Louis. I think it rocks my socks. They also rock during regular footbagging sessions. It's a good replacement to 32s in general, i think.

Nice looking bags- I like the innovation of the 20 panels.

EskimoJoe- your bags are so consistent looking, I could swear you're just photoshopping different colors onto the same bag!

Lotus- excellent to see the use of leather! I was just thinking back to when the only exposure to synthetics for footbags was the vinyl 'kicker' hacky sack (mid 80's). I thought I would never kick a synthetic footbag. Of course, I didn't know about facile.

Nice bags Shortis and gangsta. That bag brings back a few memories.

Here is yet another bag I completed over the lunch break.

Tulip and animal print. 58.1 g lead and steel mix. This and the imperial blue/grey bag are reserved as donations for a few up comming Canadian events.

All Canadian events, please note that I WILL donate a bag. Contact me if you need a bag for your jam.

On another note, I now have 37 colours of facile and will soon have 41. So custom customers be aware!

I also have a limited amount of amaretta, but these bags will not be available for custom orders.
