I've been swirling easier on both sides after watching your swirl set vid.

Within 45 minutes from now I will be trying out this advice. Thanks.

EDIT: It helped. Stepping SS butterflys looked really good, and ripwalks were improved. I just watched your video on reverse swirls, and I am excited about implementing the pigeon toe.

I really liked this video. Thanks Matt.

I think I a bit could be added though. Granted my stepping is bad but when I think of a great stepping set I think back to the video of vasek at worlds 04 hitting consecutive blurriest. Maybe someone can post that video in this thread. The bag is set to the exact same spot every single time. The links become robotic and so fluid. I don't know what besides great control allows him to do this but it is different than most players. Most of us set, spot and chase the bag. His stepping is so amazing because its set and again and again from both sides of his body to the same spot so that on consec moves there is little to no lateral shifting motion.

Vasek also slow down the delay I believe. His clipper style is one where he really cushions the bag. The result is that ever move is as if it is the first move of his string. While most players have trouble linking their tricks his way of resetting after every trick makes it as if it is the first trick of the string. I wish we had a video of vasek just hitting ripwalk over and over again.

Maybe someone could also post the video of allan hagget hitting the 90+ ripwalks in a row (but again his style is a bit different than vasek's).

Jon's point about set placement is key in my opinion. At first, my blur and stepping mirage had these nice straight sets, but my other stepping sets were being chased a bit. By straightening out all my sets, it has really helped me a ton.

Btw, I love the ripwalk > ripwalk > table crash. You could have edited that out, but the vid would have been worse off if you did. :-) It's fun to see a human element to this game, we've all shredded into a table at some point!

the dex is kinda like a symposium one then right, you don't acctually set your support leg before the dexing leg actually dexes.

i've watched the ripwalks B2B whenever i see a good opportunity to, and i still cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it

which of the drills that I've shown in the video have you worked on? repeating infinities? how many of those have you done with good style, no plants, and even sets?

THANK YOU SO MUCH. Lol. Ripwalk is a good basic move to have and I just started hitting it so this video is perfect timing.
