After the trip to the bus station this morning I just decided it wouldn't be worth it to stay at GRASS for sunday when I haven't slept and I'm worn and a mess. So I just drove home. I pulled into my driveway just after the sun rose and went to bed.
it's been a strange day.
Saw the forbidden kingdom. It's cool, but it's another victim of Hollywood - there are a few meaningless love/death sequences in there that could've been left out.
Anyway as I was saying to Roscoe in the lobbey of the Radisson at 3:30am this morning GRASS was definitely my favorite jam so far. I played pretty well, met a lot of new people, had a lot of fun with others I've already known. It was amazing.
All that said I'm now a little behind in work, a little sore in the knee, and two bags richer thanks to the handywork of Ian and Waylon. So a huge thanks goes out to them.
and now? some apologies:
- to the radisson room we barged into at 3:45am so that we could get Zack up and Waylon's keycard so that Ben could get some 7up.
- the people I didn't say goodbye to. I wish I could've stayed for some of Sunday.
some thanks:
- the RFA. Gods among men. Mike and Paul ran things seamlessly and made the whole thing great. Thanks a lot, guys. Aric gets one for housing me and giving me pancakes. Huge help. And it was good to see him again.
- everyone who came. There was a bunch who showed and it was really fun.
so I'm off to do some projects. . . probably going to be pulling another almost all-nighter. But first I leave you with a video to a song Tank, Bowler, Ben and Jamie know well. The song's called Handlebars and it's by a group called the Flobots. It's really really good. Watch it. And watch Feet on Fire. But don't watch it as many times as we did last night. We had it going on two sets for about 3 hours.
