[no vid]What tutorial vids would YOU like to see?

First off, about my thread placement... I want the same people that see my tutorial videos to see this thread. Also, it concerns future videos. Hope that qualifies it for continued placement in this subforum.

That said,

What would you like to see tutorials for?

I'm pretty open to ideas, although I don't really want to repeat work that Anz has done unless someone needs it. So, Check his Anz Trickz thread in Trick Tips for move demos first, and if the perfect form / visual approach doesn't work for you, I can take a crack at the verbal approach.

whirls.... big add chads on flipsider were nonverbal... so kinda nonhelpful. and i really like the way you do whirls... particularly pdx whirls and blurry whirls. so yeah.
also, torques. the tricktips thread is all messed up, and i feel its a really hard move to conceptualize without verbal instruction.

I think it's OK to repeat some of Anz's efforts. You two exlpain things differently and have different styles/body types. Sometimes seeing two people do something their own ways can be really helpful.

Btw, I admire your ability to speak easily in the vids I've seen >> whether it's an interview, MC'ing, or tutorials, you have a good knack for explaining things in a 'plain english' and entertaining way.

As for what I'd like to see. Anz's atomic vid was helpful to me, but I would like to see another point of view on this concept. Spinning too.

Good idea. Most of my videos lack verbal tips, and since you SPEAK them out loud as you go on and play, it's different and propably better.

It's different, I wouldn't say better. Before I hit a move I could use verbal tips, but after I learn it and want to improve, I just need a reference to compare how I do it to how someone else does it. In other words, both video styles are great.

-edit: but I do like how Matt stressed in the stepping set video what you should be practicing in order to work on the movements required for stepping , and what are the "prerequisites" before trying to learn it. When I first discovered Anz tricks, I downloaded a whole bunch, watched them, and had no idea where I should be starting.

Hey Matt, I love all your videos!
Could you do some atomic stuff, I have been working on them and I just can't get them both sides (my good side was in my video and it's a little off balance). Also thank you for your comments on my video, it really inspired me to work harder

If you do torque can you include PDX i have such a hard time with that. I Think this might be to big of a request, but Furious would be cool. I need help with spinning too.

What about creating a new subforum - video trick tutorials - a space
to store all the stuff that's already out (e.g. Anz' Tricktips), and also
a space for people to post their tutorials.

What do you think?

Maybe it could be moderated, to keep the forum clean from
trick tips that are not good/clean enough/wrong/dangerous?

Aside from that, I would like to see tutorials for Spinning and Whirl.

I think matt should definitely start a series, maybe even up on the .org. Anz is awesome, but more is always better.
