Going to a voice lesson in a couple hours, then after that gonna go pick up a tripod! I'm so happy, I can't wait to see what i can do with it. For the longest time I've been confined to using chairs and things to prop up my camera, no i can actually use some cooler angles! Probably going to make a video tonight, as well as put in my drifters for the hot trick comp.

Oh well I'll dedicate this next video to you!

My voice (singing) lesson was great. Got some good advice from my teacher, and discovered that i had been playing two of my favorite songs on the piano in the wrong key for my voice, so now i can actually sing them without straining my throat.
Sorry Cale but i didn't make a vid today, i did however hit a new trick on camera. have a look see

Felt cool when i hit it. Anyone else think Symposium reverse whirl is easier then regular symp whirl? Also wondering if anyone has any tips for hitting symp whirl on my flipside. I jump for it, but i always set super high, and never actually get far off the ground.
Anyways hope you enjoy the trick, and I'll see you all around. Hopefully I'll make a video with my new trusty new tripod tomorrow.
Cheers

Went to see Speed Racer today with my Mom and Sister. It was a mothers day thing, since she watched the original cartoon when she was a kid. I actually liked it, pretty over the top action, some great parts, even some good dialogue, all in all good movie. After the movie and coming home i decided to play some footbag. Highlights are
Good pixies
Blur BSOS
Flip Pdx Whirl felt really good
It was an ok session. Was going to film but i decided against it. I really hate looking through all the footage after filming a session because it's usually like an hour long. I sometimes though have a paper and pen and when i hit something really good like a long run or a new trick or something, I'll stop the camera and find what place it's at, then right that down so i can skip to that thing when I'm uploading the footage.
Saw a documentary recently on a very controversial subject, thought it was very spacey and artistic, though at times it just kinda slugged along. It told the story ok i guess, but w/e. It was ok.
Hope to play tomorrow at the local park and film. Should be fun.
Thanks for he tips Kjolpa, I'll try them out.
One last question for modified, any one know of some good cheap boom boxes that i could plug my Zune into using an AV cable? Or one that i can play burned CD's on? Would be great to know, cause i would like to start sessioning with music.
Cheers

Today i went with my Dad and My Sister to go see a Choral Concert. They were going through five different time periods of Choral music and ended with one of the most epic songs I've ever heard. It's the one you hear in a lot of movies, and it's in star wars. It's called O Fortuna (I think) but it was awesome. It was cool because the chorus was only accompanied by a piano, and I've never heard that song with piano before, just strings.
After that we came home and ate dinner (STEAK!) then i went out and played some footy sacky. Filmed some new hits for me, and another one shot video. The one shot video is terrible, but it was fun. Heres my new trickys!

Be careful when watching that, you can mistake that set for a normal atomic set really easily
I'll post in here again when new developments happen concerning the Hindenburg.
Sheers
Yintackle!
(EDIT) Forgot to say that when i was playing today. I'ze wuz hittin Pdx Whirlz Laxxy! They'ze gittin good.

We are moving. We started today, and we have to be completely out of the house by may 15th. I'm probably going to be doing non stop work for the next two days, can't wait. Hopefully i can make a shred video in our new house's garage, which is a million times better then our current one, cause theres nothing in it, and it has better lighting. Our new back yard has a cool spot to. It's like in the center of four poles supporting the roof, looks really cool. I really want to make another vid. I have done a bunch to my infinity form, and it would be great to see what people thought of my spinning and ducking stuff. Anywho, things are chugging along i guess.
I've been toying with the idea of making all my blog entries from here on out video entries. Basically a video footblog, anybody think that's a good idea?

ok, a brief summery of the last week. We moved, i spent the entirety of 4 days working. Carrying boxes, driving from house to house, moving heavy furniture, all the most stuff you can think of. I hope the next time we move it'll be into a house we own, and with the help of movers. Anyways i haven't been on the internet for those four days, and it feels really weird to be surfing the web again.
I really need to get my butt over to Cale's house for a visit, as i haven't seen him since the day before his surgery. I wish he would turn his phone on more!
I can't wait to play again, but I'm under the weather, and was so during the entire move. Finally getting better though, and i think i can start playing again in a couple days, which makes me happy to think about. Not playing footbag for those days after going for like a week and a half of straight playing is weird.
Anywho, I'll be seeing you guys around.
Cheers

So recently i decided that i'm going to work towards turning my Fairy into my primary toe set, with pixie following close after. I think that it would definitely help with variety, and a nice deep clean fairy feels a gillion times cooler then a deep clean pixie IMO, so I'm happy about it. Anywho I'll be seeing a bunch of you at the green cup. Thanks Aaron for giving me a ride! It's very much appreciated!

Thanks for the response Drew, i really do appreciate it when people post in this blog.
I've started work on a routine for U.S. Open, in the process of choosing a song. It's really fun thinking of the endless possibilities and combinations i can put together for this routine. Just hope my nerves don't get the best of me, that would suck at my first real competition. Circle Comp at Green Cup didn't count. My longest string in that was one contact, and i think it was mirage
And yes, cheese cake is the absolute best. Especially new york style cheese cake.

Decided i should start posting my session highlights in here again. Just had a 3 hour session in my garage. Turned out really good.
Highlights
Run with Dimwalk>Pdx Mirage>rpt, Fairy Beater>Pdx Mirage>rpt, and Ripwalk BSOS.
Smear>Plo>rpt>Fear>Flo>rpt (Flo = Fairy Legover)
Pdx Whirl b2b
Run with lots of Symp Mirages
Whirl War
Shmoe BSOS (So hard!)
Was a very good session. Though i went berserk going for Whirl War. Finally got it, but man oh man, i was going insane.
Stepping is the only set i feel i have real trouble with. Pixie and Fairy are becoming automatic, which really makes me happy, but i wish my step was to par with the rest of game (excluding ducks and spins, they'll come soon enough though!)
I'm stitching a bag, it's a 12 panel, and it's gonna be pretty big. I just wish i had more knowledge about how to actually make it! I've stitched 6 pents together to make a flower, and i think I'm supposed to do that to the other six, then kinda sew the two flowers together, but I;m still kind of lost. I'll continue anyway, since it's practice fabric. I'll post a pic when I'm done.
One more thing, how do you close footbags!?!?! the blind stitch thing is so confusing to me, if someone could explain it more plainly to me that would be really helpful.
Peace
Eoghan

Yay for blog posting! Had a little 40 minute session yesterday. The good part is i filmed it, and i had some pretty good runs. Here it is, please tell me if you think i should post it in the videos section, but right now I'll just keep it here for the people who actually read my blog. Hope you enjoy it.

Something thats not in the video, but i did get on film is this
Reverse Eggbeater bs
I think Reverse Eggbeater is one of the coolest tricks ever. I think it's called Legeater? Anyway, it's sweet. I'll probably post the vid of me hitting it in the new moves thread.
I guess I'm going to try doing some little statement of the day things, but w/e
Statement of the day: Don't play footbag next to a bonfire.

great video awesome string legth man, i was amazed how long some were. criticisms>
-whirlwar looked great... but midstring, you didnt throw a single whirl. or drifter. or double down. or blender. and barely atomic. thes are all things you can do pretty well, so stop neglecting them.
-i didnt think reverse osis looked good midstring, at least in this case.
-maybe too many fairies... mix up your toe game a bit.
awesome yog. your videos are better almost every time. keep it up, i cant wait to be back.
oh, and i posted the wrong pic before. hang on.

Thanks for the quick response Cale. I know where your coming from about the reverse osis. The ss one didn't look good, but i think the far one was ok.
Yes i know i need to throw all that other stuff. But the runs in this video were comprised of all the stuff I'm working to get on lock, like the primary sets Fairy, Pixie, and Stepping. Plus my shins have been hurting like no tomorrow, so atomic was pretty much out of the question. As far as Drifters, go I don't feel confident enough to throw them consistently yet, but they should come soon.
Whirls were hurting as well, but i have no real excuse for not throwing them. I just don't do them often
My double downs are complete crap. That is why you didn't see any in this vid.
watching the vid i wish i had thrown some symp mirages, as i can do them very easily. I think i was just focusing on long toe shuffle runs. Oh well, again thanks for the response. Hope you get back at it soon.
I didn't even see the picture before i started writing this...

Stop improving Eoghan.
That video was awesome. Your toe stuff is looking really smooth. I think you should starting throwing in some illusions and pickups to your toe game for a bit more variety. More stepping stuff would be good too.
