Thats so cool that you guys are in this! I was wondering though, do you do any freestyle in the movie, or is it all just silly hackey sacking? Regardless, well done my friends. Can't wait to go see it!

Is one of those supposed to be good and the other bad? One representative and the other a gross misrepresentation? If so, then it appears you are asking me whether the footbag in Zohan will represent our sport well. I cannot answer "yes" to that question.

The footbag in Zohan is a new concept for our sport and it is something that you and your clubmates might like to try out. Only time will tell if it catches on.

ive seen the commercials, no footbag references, sandler's character seems to be incredibly dextrous with his feet though

Hey.....Check out this e-mail I got the other day. I'm guessing they found me through footbag.org.... I didn't know what to think about the e-mail at first. I Thought maybe it was spam at first. But then saw the movie trailer and it does have footbag in it. I guess this lady wants me and my friends to kick for this movie premier. We don't get nothing but free tickets to the movie. But it will be fun. They want us to shred out front and in front of the screen for a while before the movie starts. She says there is alot of footbag in the movie. What I saw on the trailer didn't look real. This is what the e-mail said....

coming out june 6th. Hackeysack/Footbag plays a big roll in the film and I

Both threads talk about the movie, and I know several footbag players who participated in the filming. The movie isn't about freestyle or net, but uses real players in a made up game. It would be great to use this movie to get real footbag more exposure.

Argh.

I despise Sony Media division with a passion. Other than the fact that their representative is spamming and can not spell (yeah those two usually go hand in hand), what they're asking for is some free publicity.

Definitely put a price on it if you plan on going. This isn't demo-ing for a small mom-and-pop shop or footbag club but Sony Pictures. They have resources for these types of promotions.

Sorry for the rant-like nature of the post.

Max is right. If you have any faith in your abilities whatsoever you NEED to ask for money. Don't worry about asking too high either. You can always negotiate a lower price, but make sure it is something you are still happy with. This IS Sony Pictures. They will be making MILLIONS on Zohan. It is a disservice to footbag to do it for cheap/free. They will think all footbaggers' skills aren't worth very much, experienced or not.

JUST free tickets is an absolute joke. Tell this woman what you are worth!!

Whoops, I didn't read closely and assumed it was someone from the specific movie theater asking them to do it. Either way, you're right that players should get compensated for playing.

Yes....You make very good points. I didn't look at the big picture (Sony Pictures that is). They can pay good money! I'm not the greatest player. But I'm pretty much tilt-less besides a few toe bails here and there. But I have been working on my footbagging for almost a year. That's practicing everyday almost. And your right that's worth more then tickets......(maybe I get them to throw in popcorn
