Today I came very close to Paradox Drifter (in full work clothing, i.e.
Blaumann, and WITH bag), and on my strong clipper side. I think I have hit the
move 1 or 2 times before, but only from weak clipper.

18th July 2005

Session with Bea and Max on the sidewalk.

I can play! I hardly felt my injuries this time, but still I didn't push
too hard. Max hit some good combos, Bea quit soon after I arrived,
but Max and me played through until the weather was really bad -
it was raining like mad and it was stormy as shit, but still we played.
There were two kids who stayed with us and practiced barefeet toe stalls.

Here's what I hit:

New 4-4 link:
Ducking Osis>Torque
>far legover>butter>pdx mirage>pixie legover>flip pixie drop YAY! Finally.

Osis>Torque midrun

Magellan>Pixie Legover>Pixie Legover (Wow, some flip pixie from me!)

Paradox Drifter (from strong clipper - for the first time!!)

and a new 5 add:

Pixie Symposium Reverse Whirl

I also had Ducking Clipper>Far symp reverse whirl roll off my foot
(not sure, could be that I've hit it though - Max?)

What a session! My runs were decent, I hit some new stuff, my infinities
and Osises were smooth as well - felt good.

Can't wait to hear some Euros reports! (And some footage, Mike??)

23th July 2005

Footbag Performance at the Pullacher Sdlichtfestival.

In the Brgerhaus Pullach, the 2nd "Jugend Kultur und Kunst Festival" took
place, and we were one of the attractions besides Capoeira groups,
HipHop Dance, some live bands etc. We had a stand there, right in the
Brgerhaus and we played all day with lots of people watching us.
There was one scheduled performance with lots of spectators, where
Max explained some Footbag basics, and afterwards Max, Bea, Mike and
me shredded one after another.
We taught some kids their first basics, and we met Benni from Pullach,
who has just started out and was happy to play with us. In 5 minutes I
taught him Mirage, Legover and Pickup..he hit Mirage on the strong side
3rd try!! He told us that he was with Sebastian Kleinichen (TinTin) recently
when he visited Frankfurt, and there he learned about Footbag. He
seems really interested! I hope he stays with the team.

Anyway, I hit one nice thing:

Far symp rev whirl midrun (Ducking Clipper>Far symp rev Whirl>far legover>little run)

And Max hit PS WHIRL!!
We now have polish blood in our team.

Heh, yeah, and he was with us this session:

25th July 2005

Monday Gym Session.

Players: Max, Daryl, Angrod, Kue, Benni and me.

Benni showed up for the first time, and he hit shit on command. Seriously,
he had 3 legovers in a row, legover>legover>mirage, he hit pickups,
atws and illusions all over the place. he hit his first clippers, and even his
first BUTTERFLY!! this man is a force - all he needs is some good shoes
and his game will take off.

As for me, I felt slight pain in my calf before the session, but my legs
were with me this time and I had an AWESOME AWESOME session.
I even forgot to put on my knee-bandage, and I didn't even need it.
Here's what I hit in what might have been my best session ever:

another Far symple Dyno

footed Magellan>Smear>Dimwalk>Torque

Magellan>PLO>PLO>PLO

Dimwalk>Pdx Drifter

2 Torques in one run
(dropped the third)

PARADOX TORQUE    Here's the video

TORQUE>TORQUE

and what I'm most happy with:

34 INFINITIES (my old record is almost a year old now and stood
at 15..) - to handcatch: I didn't drop, I just stopped because I was too
stoked and my stamina had left me (hit this at the end of the session)..

I hit another Pixie symp rev whirl too.

What a session!

I started learning 3-Ball Juggling on sunday, and I bought 3 balls
today. It's so much fun, and my record stands at about 20 contacts
with 3 balls. I really want to learn all that multiplexin' madness.

Also, in full work clothing (Blaumann) I hit for the first time:

flip far symp rev whirl (3x)
strong ss symp rev whirl (4x)
14 right foot far osis

:) it's cool to have a trick nailed on both sides!

toe symp rev whirl>far symp rev whirl!

at the session, I hit:

Magellan>Magellan>Pixie Legover>Pixie Legover>Smear>Dimwalk>Pdx Mirage>Pixie drop

Torque>Far Butterfly
(finally!)

and

FAR SYMPOSIUM REVERSE WHIRL>FAR SYMPOSIUM REVERSE WHIRL

I've been juggling for 10 days now, and the fountain is pretty solid now,
the cascade slowly coming along. I've started juggling with 3 footbags
and incorporating tricks. I hit:

Clipper bsos and osis bsos with fountains in between, ending with
a far symp rev. whirl

far symp. rev. whirl>fountain :)

juggling is fun! :)

on sunday, I'll leave good ole' Munich and head to the Isle of Gomera /
Canary Islands with my girlfriend. The two of us, 2 backpacks and a tent.
Can't wait.

See you back in september! (I'll be back on the 3rd)

Solo Session. Filmed most of it with my Digital Photocamera.
Expect some footage soon. It was a good session.

I won't spoil too much, but:

I hit a new sick 3 (5-4-4), but not clean yet.
I hit a new 5-add, but not clean yet.

Mike, this one's for you: I hit Pixie Torque. Finally.

often.

Ian Pritchard was in Munich a couple of days ago, and we got together
to shred. I'm still in the process of making a little vid of that
drunken subway session, watch out. :) It was really cool meeting Ian
again, even though we didn't get to meet again :/
Wait for the video to see what was hit..

Had a solosession yesterday. Tried Reverse Mullet on flip, but the dex
isn't there. I guess my flip rev whirl needs work.

Had a nice run: Ducking Clip>Ducking Clip>Ducking Clip>Ducking Clip>Ducking Clip>Osis>Ducking Clip>Osis>far legover :?
>butterfly>ducking butterfly>osis>ducking legover drop

worked on flip pixie. hit
-muted pixie same clipper bsos
-smear bsos
-pixie same mirage bsos

flip pixie is slowly progressing.

6. October 2005

Outdoor session with Max in the Dante-Stadion.
It's warm again! Probably the last sunny outdoor session this year.

I was focusing on the things I hardly ever do: Flip Pixie and Stepping.
Hit some nice combos, especially Pixies out of hard moves.

COMBOS/DRILLS:

- Blur>Pixie Clipper
- flip Shmoe>butterfly>Shmoe>butterfly
- 15 contacts of Butterfly>butterfly>ss osis rpt, ending with a Torque
- Ducking Butterfly>DLO
- Ducking Osis>Ducking Clipper>Ducking Osis
- Pixie same Mirage>Pixie same Mirage
- Parkwalk bsos
- Pixie Legover x3
- Torque>far Butterfly (finally!)
-

RUNS:
- Blur bsos
- Clip Ducking Legover>Dimwalk>Pdx Mirage>Clip>Ducking Legover>Butterfly>Pdx Mirage>Parkwalk>Blur drop
- a run that started with Pixie Weaving Butterfly>Pdx Mirage>Pixie same Clipper
- Toe ducking Mirage>Butter>Butter>Pdx Mirage>Pixie same Clipper>Osis>Osis>ss legover>Pixie same Osis
- flip Pixie Legover midrun!
- flip Pixie Osis (first time)>Far Legover>Pixie same Osis>Pdx Mirage>Butter>far Butter>Pdx Mirage>Butter>far Butter>Torque>Clipper drop
- Shmoe>Pixie Clipper>DLO>Clipper>Ducking Butter>Pdx Mirage>Butter>Torque DROP

At the end of the session, I went for Paradon and twisted my ankle. I'm
out for at least a week, I guess.

Max hit some pretty good shit too, but let him speak for himself :)

Here is the video of the Session with Max on October, 6th. I had a pretty good
day and filmed it all, so I made a video of it. This is the first time you
will see some flipside Pixie and Stepping action from me on video..

10. October 2005

Monday Gym Session.

Players: Only Max and me.

We did some good drilling. Both of us hit good stuff, and I will make another short vid of this session.
My achievements:

My first real small shuffle: Pixie same Clipper>Blur>Dimwalk>Shmoe>Dimwalk>Pdx Mirage>flip Pixie drop 8) 8)

One run with Magellan bsos, flip PLO midrun and Shmoe

Dimwalk>Shmoe

Stepping same Clipper bsos

Pixie same Clipper>Stepping same Clipper

Sidewalk>Ripwalk 8)

Phoenix>Ducking Butterfly>Pdx Mirage>Parkwalk>Stepping drop

Ducking Butterfly>DLO>Dimwalk>Shmoe

Muted Stepping Far Symp Rev Whirl

Far symple Dyno

another Pixie Weaving Butterfly

another clean Reverse Mullet

It feels so good after all the injuries to be able to drill stepping and flip pixie from time to time.
Especially linking pixie moves with stepping moves is fun. For the past
year I haven't really been able to push myself. Either my calf or my knee
made me go slow and easy. It's good to push things forward again, evne
though my knee sometimes feels hurt for a couple of days after a session.
But I will see the doctor on thursday.

Players: Max, Daryl, me.

New stuff for me:

38 infinities (sealed with a toe)
flip Torque! (4x)
Stepping far reverse whirl (3x)
Pixie same osis>torque
>far butter>infinity>pdx mirage>flip plo>pixe drop
Clip set ducking legover>Dimwalk>DLO>Pixie something

Good session all in all. Wasn't too happy with my runs though.

7th November 2005

Monday Gym Session.

Players:
Max
Bea
Daryl
Bjoern

and a reporter from Bayrischer Rundfunk, who is doing a radiofeature
on footbag (Tune in to Bayern 5 on sunday, 7:15 and 17:35)
He hit 8-9 alternating toe stalls and hit toe set clipper (with Daryl's G-Units)...

For me the session was not that good. I could have played well, but
everybody was so on fire, that I pushed myself too hard trying to
keep up with the boys. I haven't played for 2 weeks, and normally
I can play once a week due to my knee. Daryl and Max however are
playing regularly, no wonder they are exploding! I have to stick to my
game and take it more easily.

My stepping went good, couldn't do flip much because of my knee.
Hit stepping same mirage bsos (never do that trick really).

I hit 10 unique guiltless, and I tried for more, but couldn't. I guess
I know I can do more if I try more often.

One new trick for me though:

Alpine Magellan (Pixie Weaving Legover)

I'll have to take another footbag break, due to my everlasting injuries;
next week Physio Therapy starts, this time for my fucked up knee,
and afterwards I'll have acupuncture. Oh well. Must swim more often.
