FAVORITE FOOTBAG CLUB WEBSITE

Post by Spadrick »

The rules are simple. Vote for a club site other then your own.

Also;
Do you think that clubs should have great websites? How viable do you think a clubsite creation/hosting service would be? Would your club use it if the rates were really decent? What about a clubsite directory?

Gimme some feedback.

i suggested to steve goldberg a couple years ago that an updated links page of all club sites on footbag.org would be a GRAND idea. he emailed me back and said i was stupid. or something.

i had every club site i could find linked from hackrifice like a year ago-ish. i went through every single club on footbag.org. but then there were so many little clubs that didnt last like more than a month. and their sites disappeared. you know? it was a pain to keep updated.

i think we should have a links page on the forum. to EVERY site. categorized. by club. and by country. and by videos. and by everything. and you can choose how you search for sites too. like when you search for a post. or a user. you can search by number of posts. date registered. name in alphabetical order. website. etc.

that would be so cool.
its hard to keep up with all the websites.
im missing out on so much :(

Getting bashed on this forum doesn't exactly give me warm fuzzies about your "community".

I probably told you that the entire footbag.org site is a link to all clubs on the internet. Go to http://www.footbag.org/clubs and you have a comprehensive list of all clubs. The URLs for each club are linked right on each listing.

I don't know what else you want from me.

I love Hackrifice for all of the videos and such.

But, I voted for Hood's Shred House, because I like the direction that site is heading in. With all the tutorials and other aids.

Everyone keep up the good work.

I agree, Brian.
I've never bothered trying to do more than just state what our club is all about. I figure that there's already some awesome sites out there that have every 'how to' you could ever ask about footbag (just look at the trick footage on Hacrifice, for example). The only bonus stuff you'll find on my site is videos and pictures of our club gatherings (which hasn't been updated for some time, unfortunately). What more do we need?
Another thing I haven't worried about is a links page. I figure if someone's found my site, then they probably already know their way around the online footbag community, and don't need the links. That saves me some work. Although I might add FootbagLinks.com to the page, because it's already got it all.
Comment in the BCS blog if you feel the need to.

Oh.

*slaps face on letter F a few times*

Well, it's definately a website, and you play footbag, and you probly play footbag with a few people, you have pictures of you and your friends footbagin on that site, so i guessed at 'club'.

Sorry. Maybe this will make you want to start a club?

You forgot the Rochester Footbag Association. I vote for them because I live in Rochester.

hi!
i created footbaglinks.com and it seems to be something that people are actually using, 4000+ page views in 1.5 months! i am working on a searchable database, i am not guaranteeing anything but i would like to eventually have a full search engine specifically for footbag related websites, clubs, etc... sort of like what chan was describing.
