Pulled Groin?

Post by Tmv898 »

I've read the other topics about pulled groins and stuff, but then those people said their pain went away. I only have pain on the left side of my groin (Which is my strong side) and it doesn't seem to go away. It hurts when I do anything with it! (Like when I pull my leg up for a toe set or when I do an inside kick with it.) I've been playing for about 3 weeks now and I started feeling this pain about 3 days after I started.
Anyone have any ideas about what this is or how to help it?

regardless of whether the pain goes away or not you should definitely have that checked out by a doctor. make sure you dont have a hernia or even just weakened tissue in the area.
it could be not a big deal at all, just a strain or something, but it definitely could be a sign of something more serious

The groin is a muscle that takes a long time to heal. Since you don't use it very much in day-to-day life, it's not a very strong muscle and so the recovery time is generally very long. You should definitely see a doctor. It may turn out that you may not be able to play footbag for quite a long time unfortunately. A guy I shred with injured his groin attempting some atomic-gyro moves and couldn't play footbag for 1.5 YEARS. It sucks, but it's better to preserve your body than permanently injure yourself by ignoring doctor's advice.

You are from CC, I guess you know Greg (PacLoc)?
