Symposium reverse whirl?

Post by Slippur »

This kind of branches off of a Flipsider post, but I thought this was a more appropriate spot. Does symposium reverse whirl get the symposium add, as shown on footbag.org (the move 'surgery')?

(I'm curious to whether my first 6 add, pixie symposium reverse whirling crossbody rake, is really a 6 add)

Yes, I think you've got a 6, but it's a bit of a stretch (an add hunting move). If your dex is really clean, I'd give you props for it in a circle, but I wouldn't give it the respect of most 6 add moves, you'd at least get 5 add respect. :)
If you get that whirling as opposed to reverse, it'd be a lot better.

Yeah, it started out as pixie symposium reverse whirl, and then I realized with a xbdy rake I would have 6 adds and decided to go for it. I wasn't expecting huge props or anything for it.

I was experimenting with symp. rev. whirls over the weekend quite a bit. Hit far symposium reverse whirl > far symposium reverse whirl, pixie symposium reverse whirl, and was very close to spinning reverse whirl, and ducking far symposium reverse whirl (or as I called it reverse mullet).

I found it was easy to feel comfortable with symp rev whirl. This made symp whirls a bit less painful to warm-up to. I'm going to continue to play with symp rev whirls and see how many different moves I can get out of it. I've hit stepping far symposium reverse whirl, and now I'd like to get that back to back.

My main point to this post is to thank Slipknut for reminding me about this move. It's a lot of fun. :)

yeah, id give it the symp add, but thatts because i love to hit em. it is certainly not as hard as a symp whirl tho. I like it however, the move has its merits, and can be quite stylie
