Look through Bags and Equip, there has been quite the debate on whether lead filled footbags are safe to use and play with. Just be patient and look around, alot of times the search function doesn't work right anyway.

Lead does not rust.

Steel does (sometimes).

I think I mentioned that in a past debate.

If you wash away all of the soap and grime and dry consistently through fixed intervals, bags filled with steel won't rust after a wash.

Yeah, it's poisonous.
It's arguably not worth the risk (though it's cheap :?).

if you are able to get steel, get the steel. If it poses a threat in footbags or not, I'd feel safer with a non-toxic filler anyday.. And it could be pretty bad if a pet/younger sibling got a hold of a lead filled bag.

And Lead does not rust.
