Not to be too critical of your skills, but I didn't really see what happened due to the quality of the vid. It looks like you dropped the bag directly onto your osis whilst jumping. I'm not sure if that's really what happened though.

Clipper is probably easier with shoes, too.

the quality is terrible but what happened was that I did an osis in the air. The quality sucks. Also it's much easier with shoes.

At most, you dropped it directly onto a flying kick. Maybe you're unsure what an osis is?

this is an osis right? I see what's wrong with my flying osiris. I kicked it instead of stalling it. I'll work on it! What I'm doing now is an flying osis kick? Correct?

I'm assuming you learned this trick from this video, it's the first place I saw it when I first learned about footbag.

with yours it looks like maybe you drop the bag on to the bottom of foot or toes, then pull it away with your hand right away.

In the video above the bag comes in contact with the inside of the foot, using a clipper motion, and then is set back up in the air.

Maybe in Myachi this would work, but for footbag there are just too many other concepts that need to be in place for this trick.

It's a really hard trick, I have barely done it a couple times incredibly poorly.

You are trying to get ahead of yourself.

Drill the basics, not flying wierdo shit.

Learn clippers to the point of doing them in your sleep, a few months later try osis. Don't go for useless flinging osiris things barefoot before you really have a handle of the trick that is the foundation to what you're trying.

Basics! Then you can go crazy later.

I have a video with:

clipper stall to clipper kick

osis

flying osis (much better)

two hacks

inside osis (an osis but you start infront of you foot)

a trick where you throw the footbag go around it, catch it in a hack stall. Then you go to a clipper stall)

my computer is acting up and I can't slow-mo the flying osis so it looks like shit. I will try and fix it again.

CD,

Close but no cigar.

First thing, please put your real name in your signature. It is one of the rules of this forum.

http://modified.in/footbag/viewtopic.ph ... highlight=

Second, this forum has a lot of great players in it, people that have dedicated countless hours of their lives to the sport of footbag. If you want good advice you have come to the right place. That being said, please do what you can to submit videos that clearly show what you are doing. Otherwise, you are going to get a lot of criticism on the poor qualtity of your videos and not a lot of advice on your game.

Things you should know before your next post:
- We play "hack" but have no moves or combination of moves that we call "hack."
- There is no such thing as "two hacks", unless of course you play hacky sack, which we do not. Not really, anyway.
- A "full hack" is when a hacky sack have successfully been kicked by every member of a circle without a drop. However, we never EVER say this except when joking. And we never EVER joke. Just joking.
- There is no such thing as an "inside osis". An osis is performed on the inside of the foot. Saying inside osis is simply redundant, and that's just plain redundant.
- There is no such thing as a "hack stall". Unless of course you are stalling an object you have affectionately named Hack.
- No one can do flying osis better than Ellis Piltz. You might as well move on to other things.

Peace.

P.S. Mike Anelo is a funny guy, and he jokes a lot, which is something we never EVER do.

Ok, mikeanello,
Thanks you for clearing things up. As I may have said in some of my other posts I don't know any trick names that well. Here is video including some tricks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI0i2fR1E70. I don't know the names though. The inside osis is strange. I throw it in front of my left foot and the I got behind that foot.

Well, it took me a few tries to get to your new video link to work. The period at the end of that sentance was automatically included in the URL causing it to be malformed. I recommend you edit your last post and put a space between your video URL and the period.

Anyway, I would like to give you credit for putting the time and energy into practicing these tricks, making videos, and sharing them with us. I imagine there are a lot of people with a lot of talent that never get anywhere simply because they are afraid of getting someone else's opinion.

That being said, I recommend you start drilling some basic footbag moves. A good place to start would be toe delays, inside delays, and clipper delays. If you still want to work on osis, wrap (what I believe you refer to as inside osis), and flying osis, set the bag with your feet and not your hand. It is very important that your progress in footbag starts with the basics. Performing flying osis from a hand toss is fine if you are making a training video. But if you want to get good at footbag, try doing ten mirages first and then set to a flying osis. Now that would be great.

Keep training. Watch videos of the pros. Look up Vasek Klouda, David Clavens, Jorden Moir, Gordon Bevier, Jim Penske. These players have a lot of videos showing them performing long strings with a lot of variety. These videos will show you what footbag is about.

Peace.

P.S. I do joke a lot, but I seriously want you to enjoy footbag and be the best you can be.
