New here, toe stall problem
New here, toe stall problem
Hey, New to the site and I would like to say This place is very informing.
I have had a a mr. sandbag for about 2 weeks now and I practice everyday.
No matter what I do, I can't get a consistent toe stall. i mostly stall randomly without knowing what I did. I have been on hackrifice a lot and read some posts made here. The footbag just doesn't stall for me.
any help?
i am using flat top shoes too (emerica francis)

2 things that will help:
1. Lavers! Those really help if you want to get real good and learn a lot of tricks.
2. Overexadurate the motion. Make sure your entire leg is doing the motion, not just your ankle. It helps when you first learn stalls to bring your leg up almost as much as possible with your knee bent and your toes pointed up and to follow the bag all the way down. Don't even worry about consecutive toe stalls yet, just worry about the motion. As you get better, you won't exadurate the motion as much.

Grant totally butchered the word exaggerate and I love it.
Along with bending the leg that catches the bag, be sure to bend a bit in your support leg. That is key for all tricks, including clipper tricks.

I figured it out after reading your feedback.
Jordan was right.
the shoes were the problem
but since i am low on money, I just modified the shoes i have now.
i used the lacing technique used on footbag.org and some other basic modifications.
Now i can stall consistently with BOTH FEET
and thank you for the bending the knee tip, it really helped
-thanks everyone

honestly its great that you modded the shoes and such and can get the stall with both feet but really it isnt the shoes, with proper form you can toe stall easily in any shoe or even without shoes haha barefoot shred rocks...congratz though haha

you can get a hockey puck from point A to point B using a branch, but that's no substitute for proper equipment.
Lavers +1
search ebay in your size, and make sure you're getting the mesh model like what they have on www.worldfootbag.com
nice emericas, super styley.

If you can't do a toe stall barefoot then something is going very wrong.calemccoy wrote:wrong.HippieTom wrote:honestly its great that you modded the shoes and such and can get the stall with both feet but really it isnt the shoes, with proper form you can toe stall easily in any shoe or even without shoes haha barefoot shred rocks...congratz though haha
