No Shred30 at Worlds - Poll
This topic isn't really about how you feel about shred 30. It's about whether it is a good decision to remove shred 30 as an event from worlds 2 months before the competition and to replace it with an unofficial experimental event. Was this decision in the best interests of freestyle footbaggers or not?
It's not officially called Shred30, it's Timed Technical Variety Competition, which sounds way coolerSenor Grommet wrote:If we are to keep the event, let's at least think about changing it's name to something that is representative of the actual event.
But what do I know, apparently I play joust.

I got a reply from Dexter, and it turns out the combined effort of the polls, and other arguments managed to convince him to let Shred30 happen. There will be time and space given, probably on Tuesday, to run one round unofficially. I will try to ask about medals, or at least diplomas, to be made for the best contestants.
Thanks to everyone who voted in the poll. I hope at Worlds there will be time for some more discussion about the good and bad aspects of Shred30, maybe ways to fix it, and also new disciplines.

Why change the name? Shred is a sweet word in my book. I thought shred meant to tear shit up, and i believe you can tear shit up in any event, whether it be planned or not. The very few times that I have attempted a routine, they were never choreographed, of course they sucked but I guess they were still considered "Shred". I think everyone is over thinking this.
That's all I got to say about that, and I'm still all for Shred 30. I always have fun with it, I don't see any reason to get rid of it, but I'm not going to put up a fight.
