It's totally possible that I'm just making it up, but aren't there e-mails sent out every year asking for nominations for the Hall of Fame? If so, when the e-mail went out, did you send in their names?

What has big add chad done for the sport of footbag?

organize events?
perform duties for the ifpa?
preach the good word of footbag
win numerous world titles?

I'm afraid he wont make it to the HoF. To me he was one of the better freestylers of his generation, but is that enough?

Richie Abshire, on the other hand, is a candidate due to his stitching prowess and dedication to the propagation of footbag through that medium.

Dexter would also be a future candidate, due to starting and heading a footbag scene in a new country and running numerous worlds and other events. He is not very close to his 18 years yet though . . .

My understanding is that you have to have attended your first serious footbag even at least 15 years ago to be eligible. I don't when those people attended their first tournaments.

You also need to be nominated and to be in the top 3 of number of nominations received. There isn't any person who sits around trying to figure out who the people who should be in the HoF are - it's up to the community to nominate them if they think they're worthy.

Nasty,
The current rules for HOF are that you have to have attended a tournament in the year 93 or earlier....15 years of official contact with footbag. It used to be 18 years--we voted and changed it to 15 this year.
So, Chad might be eligable within a few years....I would imagine that Richie Abshire is elegable now, and in my opinion he deserves the hall of fame for sure. So at the very least we'll nominate him next year.

I can't believe you're complaining about something when it was so fucking easy for you to have nominated them yourself or found out the details yourself. Instead you have the typical response of doing absolutely nothing while complaining that everybody else is doing nothing. Top bloke.

Pro tip; Ask them directly. That's what I did when I was going to nominate Daryl Genz a couple of years ago. Although actually he's eligible now that the years have changed (and would have been this year). There's a reminder for next year.
