Yeah that sounds good. What time were you thinking? The river walk is right next to where my mom works.

Probably some time around 12ish. I'll talk to Jake about it and get a more specific time frame.

It's not going to happen. My dad's a dick.

Oh well, maybe in like three weeks, considering I'm going to be in D.C. for the next two. Or maybe I'll just see if I can stay there forever.

I was in DC for the past week. I was so busy I barely touched a footbag the entire time. I feel like I really have to play to make up for lost time now.

Well, I guess this is my first "real" day of vacation. It's pretty boring. I applied for a job at Petco today, and hopefully I get the job so I'm not stuck in this dump all summer. If not, there are a couple other jobs I might apply for. I have the ACTs tomorrow and a grad party that I don't really want to go to but my parents are making me go to. It's actually the second time this has happened, and its because my parents know the peoples' parents and stuff, and feel that if they go, that I should go. Whatever. They hopefully sunday I can go with Jake to the Windy City cup. I'll post in the CIC blog to see if anybody's going to freestyle there, and when. If not, I can just go to watch the net events; at least it gets me out of the house.

Today was fun. I met up with Nathan and Reid then later Jake Raye at the Windy City Cup and we shredded for awhile. I hit two new five adds, blurry whirl and tomahawk :) Then I watched net for a bit after that, and met/talked to Jeremy Mirken for a couple minutes.

But anyways, I finally found the Midwest Regional championships on footbag.org. Much to my dismay, there's no sick 1 or sick 3 competition on the listed events. I kind of want to come up with an intermediate routine in order to compete, but I'll have to work hard at it in order to get it done and practiced by the 5th/6th.

Nice on Blurry Whirl and Tomahawk - were they both sides?

How about a new video soon?

A new video? Why should I do that? Don't tell me what to do.

Well, I guess you twisted my arm. Here's my routine in the making.

I don't look too showmany when I do the dance move things because I'm 1) trying not to drop and focusing my attention on the bag and 2) I'm angry because I shot this about 100 times and kept screwing up. As the routine develops, I'll put more attention on them.

After watching this video, I've decided to throw a short two bag juggle in, right after the part where I spin around twice. I'm not very good at it, but I think it'd be cool to at least attempt to do, even if it's only like three juggles. And I think the second time that I do the mirage>legover combo, I think I should do illusion>pickup instead, for variety.

The routine's not finished yet, that's only roughly the first minute. I have about 30 seconds of shred after that, and I don't plan to hold back during those 30 seconds. I actually recorded the routine again, and the beginning's exactly how I want it to be now, but youtube isn't letting me upload videos right now due to site maintenance. But anyways, I'm planning on doing that for the Midwest Regionals, so that'll be fun, as long as I don't freak out by due to an excessively large crowd :|

I managed to stitch another bag. It's #17.

I'm still messing around with sizes and templates until I find the perfect one. This one is kind of small and non-floppy. I'm kind of planning on going back to the template before this one. Or making newer, bigger ones and gathering tighter. We'll see.

Here's the revised version of the beginning of my routine:

Now all I need is a killer way to end it, while keeping drops low.

very nice!!

i would get rid of the angel wings... those look weird. and also, when you switch feet between the spins, id do a ducking toe to toe.

havnt you said you can hit blurry whirl? if so, end your routine with that, or go for ps whirl :D

I'm kind of thinking of getting rid of the dance moves altogether. At first, the routine was a joke, but I kind of want it to be a little more serious. I don't know about ducking toes, because I usually only do clipper set (or pixie set) ducks, so I might not be comfortable with it. And blurry whirl might be more of a risky move, since I've only hit it like once (I haven't hit ps whirl yet). For an ending trick, I'd rather go for a harder move I'm more familiar with, like phoenix or ducking ps mirage. I should set aside 10 extra seconds at the end, because I want to hit my last trick, not just attempt it. I think that's cooler, especially for an intermediate routine, actually hitting the trick if it takes about three tries, rather than just attempting it once, dropping, then bowing and leaving the stage.
