Thanks Ashley. :-) I've just been really bad with returning texts and e-mails recently. Busy with trying to hang out with people in person and finish these fuuuuun take-home finals. After today I'll be done with this quarter.

Anne, you better have been happy to be my friend before... or else...

I started a flickr, wanna see? I'm not going to pay for the upgrade, so it's just going to be organized as footbag and non-footbag. That's kind of how my life has been separated for the last 4 years anyway. I don't have a ton of pictures up yet but there are some of June 7th, the night a ton of people from the bay area gathered to watch ydmwtz.

I am new to having a good camera of my own and didn't realize that people shouldn't delete pictures when transferring them to the camera-- for several reasons. For instance, something can go wrong and all of your birthday pictures can be deleted. Then you can try to recover them and the only ones that don't work are the two with your sister. The three of the cake are fine, but not the two with your sister. Hypothetically speaking, of course.

Hey Emily...

I guess you still consider me your friend, or are you just coming down to LA with a pump gun to finish me off???

I was thinking.. let me know when you're coming and for how long, cause if we want to and if it suits the SD crew, then we could maybe do a daytrip down there and hang with them.. Let me know...

I know that Chad sounded like he would also love to meet you. We'll see what happens.

Be good to finally be the host letting you eat and drink all in my house, so I can pay back all your hospitality!! Might even make you DANISH pancakes if you're lucky!! 8)

See you soon!

Hey Anne. Yes I want pancakes!!!!!!!!!!
I'd love to meet Chad too. He's famous, you know. I want to freestyle while I'm down there for sure. It would be nice to be able to hit more than two tricks in a row when I play with Adrienne Dukes in a few weeks.

In other news, my birthday was last week but because finals were also last week, I pushed the party back until tonight. Plus, you know me... what better day to have a celebration than on Friday the 13th? So I had my week late birthday potluck tonight. There were maybe 15 of us hanging out but you can't see them in the pictures because everyone was cleared out of the way for Twister. Thanks Oxana. :-)

Bottom: Mozzarella, basil, pasta and tomato salad, what's left of the massive amount of skirt steak, really good salad with fresh peppers.

I'm in the blue tank:

Jim started a footbag video blog. I should just change this to a non-footbag photo blog. :P

Hey Emily,

I got the Mirken bag that Fletch was selling from his collection this past week. I love it, and I had a small yet good indoor session with it. Give him my regards.

Also, happy belated birthday. :) Say hi to Adrienne for me when she makes it down to Cali!

Hey Emily,

Thanks a bunch for the visit. Nice to see you one final time (for this time!!!)... and to kick with you and Fletch and the others. Tell fletcher that I think he played really really really well considering that he hadn't played for 8 months. He's gonna be dangerous when he recovers fully!!!

Thanks again for being so good to a lost Dane during the past 8 months!! It's been wonderful, and I'm sure we'll see more of one another at some point later. At least online keeping in touch... make sure to update me with your net progress and more importantly, your life in general.

Since I'm a computer-stupid-girl, I'll email you a bunch of pics if you'd like it from the other day. Would also love to see yours.

Take care and say hi to everyone in SC.

Your the best.

Hugs.

Sorry Ashley, I can't go. You just have to train extra and show off for the both of us. Be sure to drop a little extra to make up for me not being there. ;-)

Anne, I'd love to see the pics. I will send mine as soon as I get a chance to.

Last week I went to L.A. to see Anne for the last time before she leaves the states. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling well, so we just stayed in and Anne and Urd made home made sushi. Oh man it was good. I was disappointed that I couldn't eat more because of my tummy. They took care of sick and lame Emily, and the next day we went to Venice Beach for a session with Davey M., Chad, and Fletch. I don't think I've played since the Green Cup, and before that it had been a long time since I played regularly. Fletch said he hadn't played for like 8 months and it had been some really long time for Dave too. It was a fun circle. There were a few runs I was really happy with, and I was surprised that I hit pdx drifter first try mid-string. I knew better than to try it again. :-) Fletch put on some Iron Maiden and Chad shredded like a monster. A big huggy, nice monster. Did you read The Monster at the End of This Book when you were little?

In other news, Fletch and I just got a tent from his mom and I passed my spring quarter classes. I'm at work today so I don't get to play net. Maybe I'll go to a mid-week kick.

Oh yeah, and I'm not Fletcher's message service. You folks need to learn how to talk with fletch yourselves. :P

Emily, if you are interested in doing some net training, aka, playing power, drilling serves or returns, spiking practice, wall kicking, whatever give me a call. I'll probably be setting the net up every day this week.

Let me know what your weekly schedule is going to be like, too, so I'll know when to give you a call.

Ha! Erik, when I asked that question I knew that you would be the one to answer. :-D

Jeremy,
Thanks for the post. I'm down for all of that. I don't like wall kicking very much because I get bored quickly, but I'll do it if you feel that it'll help a bunch. I don't know how my week will go since tomorrow I'm going in for jury duty, so my work schedule might get pushed back or something.

I'm too lazy to PM you so here's my schedule:

Monday: day: jury duty. night: busy
Tues: work 11-6
Wed: work 11-6
Thurs work 11-2
I think that's it.

I posted a few pics from the session with Chad, Fletch, Dave, Anne, and Urd on my flickr account.

I don't know about the name Air Jer, it works a little too well. Air Zeke always seemed right to me. ;-)

Yesterday Fletch and I had a freestyle session. :D I sucked, but I can tell that if I practice for a while I can mostly get back to the level I've been at in the past. "You know the session is almost over when you start getting glared at for passing the bag to the other person." –Fletch

I guess don't hold your breath for me to get back into the swing of things. :-)

I'd much rather have a 30 minute session every day than do an hour session every other day.

After I spent so much time being a new footbag player it kind of sucks trying other new things and being a beginner again. Speaking of which, I'm going to the park for net after I get out of work today.

Edit: typo.

I now have space at extra Space storage off of 41st, where Jenny and Jason once kept stuff. I'm basically going to and from every day, and its pretty close to your place. Call me to set up a power session or I'll call you next time I'm close.
