My comeback!
I haven't really played well since October on account of chronic injuries. I prolly shouldn't be playing this hard, but it's reeeaaally tough not to do the thing you love most in the world the best you can, yes? I like to avoid writing stuff when I post videos because it's not too likely that anyone reads it, but I got a new camcorder, compliments of Kevin Regamey, and this was our first session with it. The video is kind of really lame, the tripodness is dumb, and I wish I didn't have to cut out the song where I did, but... whatever. For me it is about the shred in this one. Comments make me happy as always.

Holy shit!! The Muffinman is back in action!!
It's great to see you shreddin again Erik! I really like the run with the ducking clip > rev swirl and spin duck clip > rev swirl bsos!
You surprised me with twirl!
Great rev whirl stuff! You make them look way to easy!
The first run was kool with the lady watching and going "wow!"
What happened to your nuke's? Torque's? Drifter's? Or are you waiting till you get back to full health to start throwing those again?
Thanks for the vid!
Josh

Thanks for those comments about the swirls.
I cut lots of nice runs and almost cut that one too -- it was the one run in the video that didn't fit for me, but I included it because I never do [reverse] swirls. I'd like to work those more. As well as more torques (I purposefully avoided drifters, 'cause my hips are really tight from inconsistent shred (same deal with nuclear, though I've never been any good at that)). Oh, one of my best runs from the night had Manna filming me and he called vortex midrun which I hit just as he said it, and that was neat! I had a neat combo with torques that I left out too, and am excited to do that in the next video! Also, I don't anticipate ever regaining "full health". It's been all downhill for about a year
But thanks again

Was really happy to see this post, I saw it last night but saved it to watch today. Nice start to my day.
If that's how you play with "bad health", well, good for you.
I mean, I forgot how good you are sort of, and I thought the links and the smoothness were really on point. Lots of surprising combos kept me really interested throughout. Nice work!

that was incredible. i think if you just completely centered your game around the lower impact moves you could corner the market, you know what i mean. like twirl looked really good, it's not ridiculously hard to hit, but it's considerably harder to make it look good and you did, just like you do with just about every other trick you do. awesome video.

Really nice work Erik. Sorry you are not at full health. I hope footbag can provide you some strength and healing both physically and mentally. Your strings were awesome. The ducking symposium mirage > ducking sumposium pixie > repeat drill was intense. I have been trying to hit that for a long time.
Peace.
Peace.
