Poutine is pretty good.
There are a ridiculous amount of good looking girls in Montreal. Did I say this already?
Healthy food is good - thanks ianek.
I'm happy I got to freestyle one on one with Andrew grant.
Mathieu (long hair) and Alex are sweet. Hi Samuel.
Flash gets progressively more fun to watch every time i see him.
Caro shreds well. I got a Will Digges t-shirt.
2 square montreal rules are fun. I need practice - i know i can sweep every time.
Request combo is SO fun. Shredding Bee seems so apt of a name for it, but also sounds a little lame. Similar but better than combo generator/lottery combo game @ NYJ. I will be holding request combo for sure this year.
Circle contest was fun - I'm glad I hit blurry whirl to flurry there, first try ever. :p
Props to Mathieu for hitting spinning DSO. Wish i saw it. Props to Johnny for hitting 69 back to back and no one giving him props b/c he's so good that it didn't register on others in that circle.
Marc Girard is cool, good at 2 square AND freestyle. Bring him to chicago with you guys.
Chris Dean got even better @ freestyle. I was quite impressed!
Sergey's cool! thanks for the russian lesson. sucks about your ankle.
I never saw vids of Nick Laroche, and when i see him play i wish i had some to watch. Links?
Montreal people are so happy. Dancing to the tam tams and relaxing @ place-des-arts.
I want to get a pet and name her Les Foufs. And when she's bad I'll call her Les Foufons electrique.
I hope I'll see you again girl from brazil who lives in montreal with blue and gold eyes. Leticia.

Thanks to everyone in Montreal for their hard work in organizing this event and housing everyone. It was run very very well with no hangups, and of the dozens of events I have been to, this one stands out for a variety of reasons. As do the other MSJ's. You guys really know how to maximize the enjoyability for the people who attend. Montreal is my favorite place in the world thanks to all you've done. Last weekend was the perfect example of why I love being part of this community.

I'm not going to do a big awesome writeup, I'll just record a few special memories in my blog and mention some things that stand out here:

-Sebastien D deserves more praise for his incredible skill! My mind was blown by his hugeness, variety, and consistency. Wait till video of CC comes out and you can see how much he slaughtered my circle. I don't think I ever got a chance to tell him how impressed I was with his game.

-The velociraptors were very voluptuous. Next Vendredi, Nick and I have our volleyball match versus the Vancouver Vultures. I'd better wash my Volatile Volcanoes jersey before then!

-I was enormously glad to see Josiah Digges! What a cool dude. He was one of the three of us who first took the stage and scared everyone off. Haha he rocked as hard as anyone, and I'm glad so many others were brave enough to cross the line too.

-headbag! oh man, what a sport. James and I pioneered that one.

-Marc Giard's video captured Tam-tam so well. I spent a little time doing some people-watching around the park and saw a lot of similar things that he filmed, especially girls' butts.

-more stuff. i'll edit it in later.

I would like to thank:

Mattieu Gauthier for being a true friend. Thank you for letting crash at your place, showing around Montreal and helping me a lot with my injury. You have a cool mom too, please say "Hi" to Alex from me.

The organizers (Kolo, Mathieu, Sebastian, Ianek) for making the event happen. You guys are fantastic and did a great job. Everything was nicely organized!

Andrew Grant for taking care of my injury (it was very professional and tons of fun too! I will never forget it!) and being as cool as fuck the whole time. It was a true pleasure meeting you Andrew and I hope to shred and hang out together in September.

Marc Giard Eric Chang for filming!

Brian Cooper and Joshua Raye for helping me out with my injury and Brian Cooper for giving us lifts around Montreal. I can't wait to use that bag Joshua sold me.

James McCullough, Nick Laroche, Johnny Sudderman and Rishell Gallant, Will Digges, Josh Digges for being fun to hang out with! I hope to meet all you guys again someday!
