I was actually contemplating not posting up there because I figured Newf wasn't an idiot and what he said was kind of out of the blue. But you never know with people these days.

I like Allan's idea about allowing editing with a time lapse.. Not sure how that would work, but it would allow for quick updates (spelling, or prevailing cooler thoughts etc.) but not for historical messing up of the thread.
But honestly, the editing has been on in this forum for as long as I've been reading and I've never noticed a problem really. It works fine here I think.
