YES.
We've gotta keep our eyes out for seat sales! I found one the other day but it was almost 1 a.m. and it ended 20 minutes after I found it, so there wasn't much hope in arranging anything with everyone.
But there will probably be another...
We should really book the flight ASAP and I would like us to fly together.
Does everyone want to leave on Friday and return Sunday, or is anyone interested in taking an extra day and seeing if it's cool that we arrive early/stay late?? I wouldn't mind trying to do that, it is a bit far and would be more worth it to have a bit of extra time instead of rushing.
It's looking like it'll cost around $500 round trip.
Cheapest way is a seat sale or searching now and booking right away.
Mike and I are definitely in, I'm happy you are too, Josh. Johnny is probably. Jon is going to find his own way there.
And that tournament... I can't write how awesome it will be. The keyboard will explode.

Alright guys.
Mike and Camille: Are you guys TOTALLY SET on flying?
Because honestly, there's no way I'm going if I have to spend $500 on a plane ticket. I have to save for a wedding next year and will be in the process of changing jobs at the time.
Here's my proposed alternative
KEEP IN MIND, this hasn't gotten the final ok from my family yet. So far it's just an idea, but here it is. The point is that if you guys give it theoretical support I can try and get the final go-ahead:
I rent a van. I priced it out, and it is SO much cheaper. If 6 or seven of us get in on this, it will end up being about $100 for the round trip. Yes, the trip will take roughly 20 hours, but I'm down if it means I get to go.
At that price, we could leave in the afternoon Thursday and get there midday Friday. We could leave Sunday evening and get home Monday afternoon.
If you guys are really against this, it's ok. I'm kinda being the radical here proposing the change of plans. BUT IT'S SO MUCH CHEAPER!!!!!
Let me know what you think.

gah. I don't know...
See, because I'm in school too, I feel like I should fly just to save time. I can maybe take an extra day, but I'd so much rather spend it there enjoying the city, than taking 2-3 extra days off and spending that time in a van.
Also, can we fill a van? With confirmations now? Because if we can't and we can't even fill a small car, we'll have to go ahead and fly, which means booking the flights now.
I'll have to think about it more. I do like the idea of driving, road trips are fun, and I'd DEFINITELY like to save some cash. It's just a matter of what's best for me.

Hmmm. 20 hours straight in a van will be tough. And what is there to see on the way? Prairies are beautiful, but get old real fast. I won't rule out taking a van though. If it means more of us can go then that's a good thing.
Josh, you'll have to confirm soon-ish that you can make it so we know if we need to keep looking for plane tickets or not.
Flying in is still pretty tempting... but just in case: SHOTGUN!
PS I'm off next tuesday, so I'm in for beach shred.

Yeah, you make some good points. I'm sort of on the fence about it. It will be exhausting to drive that long. I do want to see western Ontario and Manitoba though...
