Sergey => Toronto When? Whenever!

Post by Sergey »

Greetings to boys and girls of Toronto!

I want to visit Toronto to:

1) Hang out
2) Play footbag

I can fly from Halifax to Toronto pretty much whenever, but at the moment I am injured (ankle) and therefore not planning anything for at least 2-4 weeks till I feel better. So I guess around the end of July is when I'm planning my trip.

Once I feel better I'd like to visit the city for a weekend or probably even more if I feel like it.

Imagine you were me! Since this is a big city, what part of Toronto would you stay at if you had to choose?

How big is the scene? If anyone could hook me up with some basic info, that'd be great!

Finally, and more importantly:

Is there anyone willing to let me crash at their place? I promise an entertaining, clean roommate with some shredding abilities and a couple of bad habits.

Looking forward to hear from the Toronto shredders!
:D

Sergey!! Sweet!!!

The scene here is hearty. There a bunch of regulars, and there are a lot of players in surrounding areas too so we can always arrange something where everyone can come out.

I won't be here the weekend of July 18-20th, I'll be whitewater rafting! But some other time at the end of July is good for me.

Not sure about crashing space but something can probably be arranged.

Toronto is huge and there a lot of great parts of the city you should check out.

I like Kensington Market the best, it's very colourful, the people there rock, there are lots of cool (and cheap!) shops, sweet parks... I just love it there, I plan to move there soon.

There is a drum circle thing that happens in a park downtown every other Tuesday night (like Tam Tam jam)... They are July 8th and 22nd.

There's also...

The Harbourfront -AMAZING and beautiful and perfect for footbag...
The Annex- clubs, cafes, cool vibe.
Yonge & Dundas Sq.-our Times Square- lots of people and bright lights and great for shred. Across from the Eaton Centre.
Nathan Phillips Square (city hall)- pretty nice, but not so footbag-friendly
The beaches (3 different ones across the city, all super nice, one good for footbaggin)...

College St. West- Little Italy
Dundas St. West- Chinatown
Queen St. West- good shopping

There's plenty to see so it depends on what you're most interested in.

But yeah-- head on out here! It'll definitely be worth the trip.

P.S. Bring Sam with you! :P

Yeah. Toronto is wicked if you have someone (like Camille) to show you the good spots. The only problem is that the good spots are a little spread out.

Uh, I may have a couch for you to crash. No promises yet though. My GF (understandably) is not keen on more 'baggers staying over so soon.

I would love to shred with you, but after July 25th I will be gone for the rest of the summer. Weekends work for me, but other than that I am working 5 days a week, and to make it to Toronto would be difficult...

If I have a place in TO by then you can crash with me!

There are tons of players in the surrounding areas, sessions can go down!
