best busking result so far
90$ in 90 minutes. There was Ianek, Seb, and me. So 30$ each. Pretty good.

I played solo at PDA after, worked on torques, they kind of went away this winter. After some work got 8 contacts of infinity>torque>rpt
also legbeater>torque bs. and more work on stepping set, nothing major on this.

Tamtam tomorrow, looking forward to a good time.

More busking today
50 minutes with Kolo, turned out to be 18$ each, and there was'nt close to the third of people we had on saturday. Working out well.

Then tamtam jam, had a few good links. From what I remember spinning whirl>far swirl and datw (i-p)>dbl switch>rpt but could"nt hand catch that last dbl switch :(

I'm doing a lot of datws lately, it's so fun. and since yesterday, with the torque workout they have been so much better today, I felt good enough to hit them while busking and not dropping on them.

I rarely drop reaper now :D

session with 2 mathieu's
Mathieu Soucy and Mathieu Girard and Samuel (2 new players)
gave them some tips, they learn quickly, fun to see new players.

on my side, first sess in new g-units. one side pixie is really bad on them :(

clipper moves are pretty good tough, had a run start with whirr, step ss whirl cleanest and deepest I ever done. Really close to spinning reaper, but kicked my balls :(

Need to fix that pixie now..

This weekend was incredible, I don`t think I've ever seen so many players at 2 consecutive shred sessions.

Friday evening, 9 players, including Rory.

Saturday, sess with Rory in old montreal at 11AM, thus too early for most players.

Sunday at tamtam, at the peak, 10 players!

Marc Giard was there, he comes in the circle, and does something like spinning dragon- inspin dragon - peaking dragon. I probably got one wrong in there, but typical crazy Marc combo.

Rory is so good too. Smooth sets all over, and all of them. I want to do atomics just like Rory now .

Speaking of, they have been improving, footed atomsmasher b2b. got an atomic ss whirl too.
at my peak of the session, I had my pixie shuffles at what they where last summer. 10 contacts without any problems, fully controlled.

next challenge, switch shoes because my actual pair is almost dead.

Hi Tom! :D

today while busking I hit datw (i-o)>dbl switch>rpt on first try sealed by a massive run.

I play so much better while busking then shredding, even tough I put very little 2 adds.

2nd sess with new g-units
drilled pixies for 1 hour. With this new pair my strong pixie was total crap, could barely do 1 pixie trick, pixie ducking resulted in the bag flying miles away.

This seems now fixed, need to get used to playing with these big bricks on my feet now, they are so heavy compared to my totaly broken in old shoes :D

had a badminton + shred session with Francois today.
I was totally hungover from a party, but I wanted to play badminton, been a long time!

Badminton was fun, but I lost so much over the years.

Footbag was good, new shoes keep getting better. Started playing to my actual routine song (changed it so many times, tried so many, I found the one that fits me the most!)

more stepping improvement, don't lower your back, keep elbows and torso straight! So hard for me...

Mealstrom to finish the session, first try :D

awesome weekend at msj3.

Got to play, suck at comps, judge, and play some more.

Good times the whole time.

best personal highlight : hitting spinning reaper for the first time. It's one of the hardest tricks I hit so far, maybe the 2nd after alpine void. But the one where it felt the best for sure.

so I was really busy lately. did'nt shred as much as I want to.

Today had 2 sessions, working on steps mostly.

Figured out I try to step too fast, thus getting my leg back down too fast, thus, hitting the bag and making it drop.

When I got this correctly, I hit ripwalk - handcatch - flip ripwalk - handcatch - rpt 10 times
hit whirl - ripwalk on flip for first time, and drifter to ripwalk on flip as well for first time.

close to flip bury whirl a couple of times, hit my good one, and a really good attempt at bsos, but no candy.

lately I skooled a couple of tricks, such has spin ducking mirage, so hard on strong side, my body is all locked up, figured out what to do, but still hard and weird.

tried a couple of flip barflys and reapers, hit the flip barfly last year many times, but completely lost it, and technique was bad at the time. trying to do it right, but will need to lift this flip leg a bit more.

on a side note, I bought 2 jumping ropes, this will be part of all my trainings now, also tried toe stalls while jumping rope, way harder then I imagined, I hit 5 consecutive toe stalls while jumping tough!

ripwalk - sidewalk - rpt
toe drifter - dlo - rpt
12 consecutives drifters on a couple of occasions, most attempts where between 6 and 8. Can't beat my record of 12, but I was tired at that time.
hit 11 consec drifters midstring

Toe drifter->plo repeat is a really nifty drill Matthieu, I'm glad you hit it. Also, a long over-due deserved props on the reaper / double switchover moves that you have been hitting recently, they are really hard!

thanks jay

I been hitting most of them for a while, but never tought including them in my runs, and by busking this came in naturaly.

a 1.5 hour practice today, more step work, was crap but I'll take it.
Did 3-4 attempts at rope jumping + toe stalls, hit 10 or 11, not sure, but improving greatly, and sets are getting better and better. I will probably be good enough to do this while busking in less then a month!

finaly some decent flip steps, hit blurry whirl many times.
also frontside blur without too much problems.

strong step just not fast enough for harder tricks.. but constant on easy tricks.

I felt so light on my feet today, I had like 3 days off footbag, 2 off my bike, so I had all my strength and it showed, long runs, lot of variety, throwing tricks out of anything, fun time.

other highlight: pdx whirl - gyro whirl
gyro eggbeater

finished day with : mealstrom - handcatch, void - handcatch, spender - handcatch, blury whirl - handcatch. all first try :D
