a session of legends. Seemed like two kids getting together to play a neighborhood game of pickup. . . footbag.
@ Jay - I'm like woah, dude. You'll always impress. Didn't know you had blenders down so well, though. That was a nice surprise. And it was good to see you not getting too frustrated when the bag dropped. You must be realizing just how good you are.
@ Matt - Every time I see you it seems like you're playing barefoot. Freestyle seems to take on a whole new natural tone when it hits your foot. This is probably my favorite video of you. Seriously. DT Your Mom is sick too.
music next time? Raw shred was fine. But you both have such great flow that some solid beats would've done you some good.

@ Jay: I kinda expected more double dexes and less ducking clippers and infinities, diving?, symp anything?, More stepping shuffle? Blurry drifter, blur, blurriest, blizzard, anything like that. Nice game though, you've really drilled those blenders, pixie shuffle and atomic shuffle. spinning looked a little funky but who am i to talk about that.
@ matt: Downtime your mom was beautiful, love the game as usual.
in a couple YEARS, Anz!? Heh. Give him till next spring. But hey I had some thoughts while I was shredding myself just now:
Jay, I think you should incorporate more pixie and fairy osis (ss and op) into your midstring more. Don't take this the wrong way. I'm not saying to dumb down your game into a kind of add-hunter trick. But I'm just thinking it's a nice little transition trick that would fit your style and tempo really nicely. Not sure if you do them a lot anyway. But hey. Give em a try!
Matt what happened to quantum? You still do them any more? And I was always impressed by your quick gyro tricks. Didn't see TOO many on there. It's just from one session, I know, but I'd like to see some pixie and quantum shuffle back in your game.
PEACE FELLAS!

Good luck lol. Matt's stuff is hard to find. I'm lucky I've already downloaded his last vid, "Fat Cross" but the link's extinct.
Here's an oldy but a goody, one of my all time faves, barefoot Moss at Kick til Yer Sick: KTYS
Hahaha Matt's gotta be the only player that uses flappers for barefoot clippers. Such a cool style.
Great vid guys, Jay's blenders are just too easy (kinda jealous). Matt, MORE FOOTAGE PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZ!!!
fatcross is still on youtube. search "matt cross footbag" and look for Matt Cross in Toronto or something like that. That will also give you lots of results for my videos in general.
Jay you gotta lose the bails. Don't take this the wrong way, I love where your game is going, but osis>butterly should be avoided at all costs. Shake things up, the great thing about osis is that ANY move hit out of it looks and feels cool. Try some ducks, dlos, drifter. I must say it was good to see you zooming!
Sacrificing string length for string quality is definitely worth it.
The best players in the world have both of course :p
Great video guys, really fun to watch two great talents in action.
About FAtCross, I just saw it in Erik Chan's personal gallery on his .org account.
When I was in Montreal, Nick pointed out that you could pretty much find any video through his account. His account is awesome. I think it was in his Hackrifice 2007 folder.
Agreed with james yo, put in osis>pdx dlo and your game will be a whole lot fancier. It aint that hard but it looks mad cool. and a lot better than osis>butter.
A big thank you for all of the replies in this thread, I LOVE the criticism. I am glad that you guys are telling me things to work on, and without any hesitation I will try to impliment all of these ideas into my game. Pixie/Fairy osis is cool, and I think quantum ss osis would be really neat as well, thanks for that idea.
Eventually when I have confidence in my ability to get more standard tripless links out of every situation, butterflies will dissapear from my game, and now is definetly the time to start re-working how my strings are. I think I'll start drilling furious out of Osis, that would be badass, however for the moment I'll just remind myself that I DO have the confidence to hit better stuff out of it.
Matt Cross is so cool, I'm glad many of you enjoyed him in this video. If you all knew he had a white-paint stain on one of his elbows, I'm sure you'd appreciate it oh-so-much more.
Yeah, this was really fun.
Jay, your style is so bouncy. Some players have a style that betrays their exhaustion, but you look like you could just keep going forever. I loved the swirl and dyno/blender tricks. Very awesome. I look forward to playing with you again at Worlds
It's always awesome to see Matt Cross footage. All the combos and tricks were so fresh. I gotta watch this again now. (Also, I agree about that pick-up-game feel -- that really added to the great vibe! (and the lack of music))
