Forgot to mention earlier, but on Saturday I'm meeting with my towns Newspaper. They want to do some stuff on footbag. They said they wanted to take pictures, and talk to me about it, so that'll be sweet. Wish me luck so i represent this sport alright. Anywho, today was cool. My Grandpa is visiting for a couple days, and my Aunt is here also, so we had a cool day where we all got together and went out to dinner. We went to the restaurant where my brother works, it's called the Dragonfly. The people in attendance where as follows.
My mom; my moms fiance, my aunt, my aunts husband, my grandpa, my grandpas wife, my brother, my sister, and me.
It was a fun dinner. I ate a good amount, starting with steak, then some chocolate cake, then after dinner we all went to an ice cream place, and i got a nice big waffle cone of strawberry cheesecake ice creme. It was rather delectable
FOOTBAG
Earlier while i was at home, my grandpa and his wife came over and filmed me playing the piano for a bit. But sadly the guy we had over repairing our wood floor in the little entry hall started using this massive sander. It was incredibly loud, so we went out back. Now this is where the footbag part comes in. My grandpa set up the camera and then told me to explain footbag to them. It was pretty cool. I got to talk about the basic dexterity tricks. Then i proceeded to hit blurry whirl, and blurriest for them. They were both surprisingly easy, and blurriest especially felt good. Though I'm definitely going to start throwing blurriest, as my double downs are definitely not as refined as they should be before i start doing more high level double down tricks. But don't worry, I'll be throwing blurrier>blurriest>rpt in no time
DRILLING
The last session i had was going badly, so i decided to stop, and drill ducking and diving.
I've never been really good at those concepts, but that session was the first time i really just drilled a single trick over and over again. The formula for my drilling was basically ducking clipper set from clipper>handcatch>Rpt. I did 25 on each side like that, concentrating on my form, and making sure i got it right every time. I did the same thing for diving clippers, though i only did 10 on each side, as i find that trick incredibly hard.
It felt really good to drill those concepts like that though, I've never done it that way before, so it felt fresh and new.
END OF SECTION
A couple of my friends are getting back from camp today, so it'll be cool to hang out with them again, as they're the only friends i really have around here. I don't socialize very well on my own
Anyways i hope everything is going well with everyone. Can't wait until the next event, and i really want to go to NYJ this year, so I'll try to start planning for that.

Little Update.
The little interview went well. Cale ended up coming as well, so that was cool. The guy took some pictures and asked Cale and I to make a video around Talent so he could put the link for it in the article. So I'm planning to do it on Sunday (Today) but I'm not sure if Cale will be available, we'll see...

I need to vent.
Living in Talent sucks. Living alone sucks. Living in Talent and alone really really sucks. My dad is gone for a couple days interviewing for jobs in Portland, and Seattle, so I've been living by myself for a bit, and i really dislike it, especially since I'm located in Talent, where literally NOTHING happens. My day basically consists of sleeping a lot, eating, surfing the web, watching T.V, then going back to sleep. I would play footbag, but my motivation for it really wanes when I'm in this kind of situation. My motivation for everything wanes, and it's frustrating. I would love to hang out with friends, but i'm such an anti-social person that i only have one friend, and I beat myself up so much in my head that i don't even try to see if he wants to hang out.
I hope to death that my dad gets one of these jobs, because then there would be the possibility i could move to Portland, which would be AWESOME. But for now I'll just have to deal with this crappy living situation.
I'm going to go watch T.V. or play videos games or something.

To Kyle, yeah, i tend to gravitate away from playing solo because it really isn't a whole lot of fun, but i did just have an awesome solo session, in which i re-worked my clipper form, and then finally hit ripstien. It was just an awesome session, everything felt on.
Waylon, you inspired me to go and make brownies soon. Thank you for that.

I actually know exactly what you mean, man. My parents went out of town for the last few days and I was just straight mind-numbingly bored and depressed that I wasn't doing anything, but I couldn't psych myself up to do shit. I didn't call people because the people I would call were out of town and my girlfriend and I just broke up so there was no help there. Pittsford, New York sounds a good amount like Talent. Don't come near here except if you want to play with the RFA. That's a good part of it.

Yeah, life in Talent can be pretty dull. Sorry to hear about you and you're girlfriend, hope you can tough it out.
Anyways, my dad came back from his trip to Seattle and Portland, and frankly, I'm excited. There might be some big changes taking place very soon if he gets either of the jobs he went up to interview for.
Though i am faced with a dilemma. If he does get the job in Portland (It's a toss up between him and two other people) I will have the option to move up there with him. Now this at first sounds like the coolest thing that could ever happen to me. BUT, i have to consider that if i left, i would be leaving behind the two greatest friends i have ever had. So i have to ask myself, "is it worth it?" I would in a heartbeat stay here in Talent if it weren't for the incredible footbag possibilities that would present themselves if i moved to Portland.
I guess the big question is, whats more important. Footbag, or my friends. I think i would take my friends are way more important then footbag. I'm able to talk to them about things i would never talk to my parents about, and it's awesome because they'll listen, and frankly thats the best thing a friend can do.

Part of being a footbagger is dedication and resolve, but the core of every friendship is like the attitude with being a footbagger as well as keeping your connectivity and obligation toward that friendship nice and strong. Thanks for the replies guys. Asmus it means a lot when people call me a "cool" guy, i saw that roskilde festival video, and your style reminds me of Vasek.
Anyways, still don't know about Portland, we're anxiously waiting to hear back from them.
Today was cool. I went with my dad on a nice long drive into the mountains surrounding the valley. We listened to some Simon and Garfunkel, and i discovered i really like the song Scarborough Fair (I think thats what it's called) Simon has an awesome voice, so that was cool.
We stopped at a lake, and we sat down on some rocks on the bank and read each other a chapter from the book "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens. So far it's a really interesting book, and even though it's required reading and i have to finish it before i go back to school, i think I'll actually enjoy reading it.
It was an awesome bonding experience with my dad, which is rare because i tend to treat him more as a roommate in our house rather then a father. There are things my friends know about me that my parents have no clue about, but i think I'll really be able to get close to my dad, which is a cool feeling.
(random tidbit) i want a dog (end of random tidbit)
On the way home we stopped at Albertsons and got ourselves some food, including steaks which we had for dinner tonight (mmmmmmmmm) but after that, he dropped me off at the tennis courts near our house since i was dressed for footbag throughout the entire trip (i know right, who goes into the forest wearing nothing but short shorts and underarmor?) But anyways, i had an awesome session
I worked spinning, and did some adjusting of my entire game. Apparently quicker delays help with everything overall. Stepping felt great, and hit Ripwalk>Ripwalk midstring with both the stepping sets being quick and waist height (YAY) I also hit a new move, that being Vortex!,my drifters have really come along in the last couple of weeks, and their starting to feel awesome. Vortex was so random, i think i was drilling gyro clippers, and it just somehow happened. Don't worry though, it wasn't luck, as i hit it multiple other times during that session, including on my flipside! I also hit Mobius BS, and that was sweet. Heres some stuff i forgot from a couple sessions back.

I really dislike it when i get frustrated over little things. Like bumping my knee on my desk, and my cat meowing to go outside. I mean bumping your knee is nothing, and i hate getting angry at my cat because i love him, and he's just a cat. Though i do tend to calm myself down usually so it's not a huge problem. It's just something i really dislike about myself.
Alright, in my last post i said i would start writing poetry again. Well i think my ability to do that has left me for the time being. Every time i sit down to write something, i just can't think of anything. The page stays blank, and i end up just closing the window (I usually only write on the computer) i don't know what it is, but i used to be able to write poetry like crazy. Weird.
Earlier i mentioned that i wanted a dog. Now I've only ever had cats for the majority of my life, and from what I've gathered dogs are way more expressive then cats, which is appealing to me. Don't get me wrong, i love my cats, their awesome, and they can be expressive, it's just that i think owning a dog would be fun, and they fulfill the description of "companion" better then cats. Though i can't stand small dogs, they are just annoying to me.
