Had a nice two-man session with Chris Dean yesterday. I played like crap. The weather was very humid and after only 5 minutes of play I was nearly soaked throughout. After an hour or so the first footbag we used was completely soaked. We switched to another bag but it was not long before that one was completely soaked as well. My shoes were throwing drops of moisture around every time I raised a foot to kick the bag. It was like rain shred without the rain.
Chris played very well. I do not remember all of the combos he hit but there were many worth noting.
Until next week, peace.

Inspiration
I have been spending all week drilling butterflies and stepping sets in hopes of one day soon clearing these hurdles and taking my shred to the next level. As we all know, or will come to realize, practicing anything in footbag somehow improves everything in footbag. Last night was proof of this as the following list demonstrates.
Aside from hitting a bunch of blurs, blizzards, and ripwalks, I hit:
- pixie same clip > stepping far legover > repeat
- paradox whirl back to back, both sides
- barfly back to back, both sides
- blizzard > pixie eggbeater, both sides
- smudge > eggbeater > pixie legover > repeat
- pixie same mirage > double legover > repeat (old drill but it felt really easy)
- pixie same illusion > eggbeater > repeat
Here are some moves or combos I would like others to try.
For Chris:
- pixie same clip > stepping far legover > repeat
Take this drill and boost it as far as you can. Change stepping far legover to double legover or bubba beater. Change pixie same clip to parkwalk or legbeater. Imagine hitting legbeater > bubba beater > repeat!
- tapdown
I've never seen you hit this. I'm sure you can, but I've never seen it.
- terrage and double switchover
These will lead to flurries and reapers and stepping double switchover.
-quantum
Do it.
For Paul:
- more stepping
You're stepping game as improved greatly since you starting biking. Last session you hit ripwalk > ripwalk > blur and it was perfect. Now just work your way in and out of stepping mid-string. Blur > dimwalk > repeat. Don't forget stepping legover and stepping pickup. These are less intense than blur or blizzard but offer more stepping moves and keep you guiltless.
- neo man
I want to see you hit this again. Try twice in a row! Or hit stepping neo > neo same butterfly > repeat.
For Doug:
- symposium
You're game has exploded these past few months. You have an incredible collection of moves now and your endurance is strong. You have some of the longest strings in the RFA. I think the next thing you could use is a little more muscle. The fastest way there is with symposium. Work on symposium pixies and symposium mirages. I bet you could hit symp whirl in a week or two. Try drilling symposium pixie back to back. This I believe is the easiest symposium drill and will give you results in a short period of time.
For Ian:
- pixie
Work on pixie. You're hitting paradox mirage > butterfly > repeat nowadays. Add something in between like smear or magellan. Magellan really works the leg muscles hard. This will improve your speed and accuracy rather quickly.
- infinity
Drill infinities every session. If you have a hard time with repeating infinity try infinity > clipper > repeat or even infinity > legover > clipper > repeat.
Sorry for the long post but I am really excited right now.
Peace.
