just had an epic sesh with Doogie Tanker.
Doug's highlights include but aren't limited to:
spin pdx whirl bs
footed PLO>dimwalk>ripwalk>blur>rpt
bunch of barefoot stuff
hit a bunch of the moves in blubberman same string
I'll let him take the rest away.
My Highlights:
ATOMSMASHER BSOS! byeah!
flip bent hahaha yeah I'm a tard
whirl bsos first try
diving clipper bsos
ducking clipper b2b
I think that's pretty much all that's fit to print, but it was just a good session in general after kind of a lonely day. My parents went out of town so I just pretty much chilled here for most of the day doing nothing.

I have no one else to talk to at this time of night and I have to get this out. I broke up with Catie about a week and a half ago now. I guess I should say we decided to call it but then she changed her mind. Woman's prerogative, I bear no ill will. However, we were in the same room just now for the first time in almost a week and it was just painful how awkward it was. Not one word was said between us and I just couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't be forced. I don't know what to do aside from just wait it out and act like nothing really happened or text her in the morning an apologise for it. I needed to just say that I remember this feeling of awkward loneliness and insecurity. I don't like it, but the single life is something I have to live for a long time. I have to know I can survive and thrive on my own before I can let someone else in. I hope we can still be friends though. It hurts that I can't do anything about this except for keep talking. That's all I can think to say right now. Funny how earlier I thought this would be a much longer post
Oh well, that was the complaining part. Had a session in Syracuse today with doug and pat and ben.
Atomic pu BSOS
I don't even know. It was generally a good day but I can't remember what I landed. Not important I suppose. Peace Modified

Well I had an alright session yesterday. I was trying to work on my form and weak concepts as much as I could think of. Because of how I looked in the SFA video, I really decided my form on things needed to be looked at. So I started filming. I have discovered that my big pet peeves of my game are in my clipper and butterfly and osis form at this point. When I watched my toe game I thought it looked smooth enough, but my clippers and butterflys look downright awkward at times and my osii needed work with how my body moved for them. When I started to control my body more for the osii, I actually got a few more contacts into the drills and felt a lot more controlled. That was good. Then I pretty much worked atomic and fairy sets on both sides, trying to sos atomsmasher, tap, and fairy ss mirage. In the end, I sossed tap and hit fairy ss mir>lo>lo>rpt. That was cool because I was having a hard time stringing straight out of and into fairy tricks. I think I might have hit tap>lo>rpt, but I can't remember.
I wrote so much because life still has me down aside from footbag whenever I'm around my ex. She doesn't really want to see me right now, so I try to stay away from the people I normally hang out with in case she's there. I was hanging out with my friend from church last night, and we decided to go to the IMAX dark knight. I called up a friend of mine to see if he wanted to go and it turned out all of my usual hang out people were going to it tonight. Including, wouldn't you know it, her. So I just hung out with Cullen all day and night last night and kind of tried to make it look like I wasn't there. Oh well, hopefully someday she'll come around

So Pat came to town yesterday and Doug and I had a pretty alright session with him. Trying to satisfy Mike Anello, I kept in mind my toe game and felt like it was kind of coming along. one of my best drills/strings included fairy ssmirage>string>Tap>Fairy ss mir>tap so That would be Tap and Fairy ssmir bsos. Feeling a little more controlled with my osii, but my butterflies still have problems and Doug and Pat and I could not really find out what was wrong with them. So! It was a good session to work on lots of stuff. Also I have a foot doctor appointment soon to look at my left leg problems. Wish me luck!

had about an hour and a half session today. Still working on refining my form and my toe sets so it was a day that I didn't do too much other than practise basics. However I set two new records. infinities: 15, osis>ssclip>rpt:12 contacts. And my butterflies looked better than before, too. At least I think so. I was practising fairy and pixie too, which meant a lot of atw work on both sides because I suck at them. I never practised them because they felt like a really basic trick. But I know they help so I was trying them both sides both ways and trying to up time them much more than normal, just to kind of get used to the idea of setting. What fruit did all this bear? I hit flip Nallegam and strong magellan. That's about it but it's a gradual plan. My legs were really hurting by the end so I figured I'd lay off them.
Alright I'm gonna go get ready for work.

had a pretty good session with Doug yesterday. We went down to the canal and both of us really didn't expect to be doing anything much for any length of time. Well time went on and my drills kept coming to me. I got through my ten butterflies, and my osii, so I started working on other stuff.
Highlights of the session include
eggbeater bs
toe set dlo bs
eggplant bs
THIIIIIS close to atomsmasher b2b like 5 times
fairy ssmir>tap bsos
almost ducking pickup
worked on my barrage and my stepping set.
all in all a very productive session for sure

gah! you guys played after all!? Curses. I don't have work mondays and tuesdays. Can you be free again next week?
that being asked that's awesome you can beat eggs. I was wondering when you'd get bored with drills and start hitting new stuff.

Yeah sorry we didn't get you in but we were both done in about an hour and a half because of our various injuries.
And about the new stuff. This is a legitimate question. Is it better to be consistent or to have big moves? because long strings impress people even if they're 3/4 tiltless or at least that's what I've seen and that's why I drill a lot more than I try to progress in terms of new tricks. I'm pretty sure I've hit 90% at least of my moves on both sides and with the same consistency. I figured that would get more respect than throwing montage one sided and barely even whirling on flip. But I welcome input.
Had a session today. basically drilling but drills that challenged me.
20 contacts of butter>pdx mir>rpt
10 butterflies
10 contacts osis>ss clip>rpt
Tap>Legover>rpt. I think I've hit that and it's crazy it took as long as it did to hit it. I killed myself to hit this drill.
ducking clipper bsos. I think rpt too.

Well we can and have had a number of threads all discussing this whole idea of which is better; consistency and dialed tricks/form as opposed to huge tricks. The thing is that people will give props for both. It's just that if you go tiltless for 35 contacts and then bust superfly people are going to be like "oh. uh. cool." and although you shall recieve said props, there will always be a little gap in people's minds about your game. Why are you hitting those huge tricks?
I would say you're doing a great joerb. You progress, dial bothsideness, and then move on to things like stepping (and now pixie
Come shred some afternoon. Peace.

had another session with D yesterday. It was actually really epic. Turns out my work with fairy and atomic has been paying off because I was getting really consistent on all of my new threes.
Hiiiighhllliiiiiights!
DLO>lo>rpt multiple times in the session, one string started with eggbeater to string including DLO bs
ssbutter>DLO bsos but not rpt yet
tap>lo>rpt multiple times
nallegam>lo>rpt tons
fairy ss mir b2b>string
atomsmasher>lo>lo>atomsmasher
we started screwing around with new tricks and started getting crazy about everything so I actually landed fairy reverse ducking gyro clipper, but it rolled on me so it was sketchy. Lots of other new random tricks I can't remember anymore. I was sooo close to pdx tap, though. I was just getting too tired.
that's about it I think. Good session. Hopefully the RFA plays today

Thanks a ton, Pete. I'll make an appearance in Boston soon enough to show you how much of these highlights is repeatable.
However, had a session with the RFA today and it was a good one. I hit DLO>lo>rpt again, although my DLO's were less awesome than yesterday. also hit atomsmasher>lo>lo>atom again, hit both nallegams and taps in the same string, and I finally understand Merlin. It took me a year and a half but I have a handle on understanding it, even if it's not totally footed yet. alright I think that's about it! Talk to you later, modified

had a pretty good session at the canal today. I don't know how I feel about life but at least I'm getting a lot better at footbag haha. So yeah Doug and I played for about a 2.5 hour session and it was pretty good times. Had some fun little highlights.
atomsmasher b2b Which was awesome. I'm really thrilled about that even though it doesn't seem like it
my first 4>4>4: atomsmasher>fairybeater>blur
hit most of fairy ss mir>Tap again. Hit I think three contacts from all the ways I could
legbeater>blur and Blur>atomsmasher which leads me to believe that I'll hit rubberman eventually
Double SwitchOver and merlin bs. Gotta work on those
I think a run with paradon>pickup>DSO>lo>lo>DLO in it and then a drop. I know about the big tricks but can't remember if I tilted, that's all
18 contacts of ssbutter>osis>pdx mir>rpt! that was actually probably the coolest thing. I was really thrilled. It shattered my old record of 12, too. Cool beans
I think that might be it. Looking at it it was a pretty impressive session for me, really. It felt off at times but all in all pretty good. Just wish life were less confusing
but that's enough of my complaining. hoorah for footbag

note to self: hit stepping ss pu>nallegam sometime
EDIT: should prolly update on more than just a note to self, so I had a doctor's appointment today to look at my foot, but it was pretty much as unhelpful as it always was when I was a kid. They all think it's something simpler than it is and tell me to stretch it and it will be fine. Screw that crap. I stretch it daily and it's not fine. They as much as told me it would cause problems later but didn't want to touch it anyway. Oh well at least I can still play footbag, I just have to work with these shin splints and a crappy foot. oh well. good times

little session today, which was kind of a bad idea. I just wanted to play soo badly, but my legs were giving me crap before I even started. I played for about an hour and no great highlights were achieved, but I hit merlin a few more times and i hit dlo>lo>rpt a few times, just making sure to keep myself at least at the same level, if I can't play long enough to progress right now. I really don't want to lose those dlo's
