I didn't play today because I had to work late for the last time. It's ok though, I'll just play extra hard tomorrow. Maybe twice.

Just got done with an absolutely horrendous 2.5 hour session. Ugh. So...bad....

I hit a few good fearless combos and stuff mid string, but overall my form/style was gross. So, I just started doing atw training.

Ended on a high note though I guess. Hit all flipside: sidewalk x6 > schmoe > parkwalk > jani > handcatch. I had been having trouble with flip stepping all day.

Will probably barefoot train tonight.

2 hour session. It was so hot outside...

Anyway, I definitely made up for last session. I played well.

I also decided to cut off my toe walls. I've always had trouble with them on sets and I've had enough. My feet don't have toe walls, so I don't need them on my shoes. It was the right choice. I can pixie much better now. The bag doesn't roll as much and it never flings off to the side. I'm pretty sure I'm not theing my sets either, so I'm happy. Good decision.

pixie whirl > pdx drift > pdx egg > rpt (with toe walls this would take me a bunch of tries because of flingage, today it took me 3 trys)

Make a small video without walls.

I would double post for both of the highlights but I'll just use this one.

1 hour session with Kyle. He's flying to Costa Rica, but had a long lay over in Vegas.

Hit gauntlet 2nd try.

2.5 hour session. Played with Evan, Aaron, Jeff, and Loren yesterday. Evan is still good. He hit some sick combos. It kinda depresses me how he doesn't play for 2 months and still can hit stuff I can't even though I've been training my butt off. Now, I didn't play all that well anyway, but still it's frustrating.

Side note, I think I need to be more flexible in my hips.

damn, I just realized I'm guilty of something that drives me nuts. I like getting comments from readers of my blog - it's motivating. But here I sit reading your blog for weeks on end without a comment. I'll do better.

Nice highlight. I always like the vids too. :)

Very well put Sir ! I think my lack of responses stems from two things,
one, this blog seems very formal and private at the same time, and two,
Ben and i havent met yet .

Be that as it may, i like your posts about your game, because it motivates
me to get more and more structured, and also the drive you have is killer !

The thing i like best is your critical outlook on things and your knack for
(self-) analysis, something that is not only helpful for becoming a tight shredder .

If you ever feel like it, please pm me and tell me how the heck you keep up with your variety -
i find it so hard to organize sessions in a way that everythings gets covered ...
how do you do it ?

Oh ya, uh...highlight from last night. Nemesis first try? Most of it was good. Last dex iffy maybe.

Thanks for the replies guys. It helps me stay positive on my game even when I don't feel all too positive.

I'm glad Evan played.

Do you like Harry Potter?

Stop posting highlights, you're inflating my post count (I'm just kidding, keep posting highlights)! :P

Oh ya, and 2 hour session yesterday. Basics work. Experimented with clipper form. I found that if I move my hips forward I can get an easier stepping set and swirls, but it makes my clipper less flat. I filmed it, so I'll see if it makes my style any better.

Didn't play Thursday because I got my new Lavers and had to work the magic on them. They look sick, except I accidentally broka modded the outside of one shoe. I went up a half size this time and they feel a lot better. I also cut out the toe canvas for the first time. It's a pretty good mod, but I haven't decided if it's worth all the time and effort it takes to do.

Didn't play seriously on Friday. Practiced in pants and such.

Played today for 2+ hours. Played well. My consistency wasn't too great, but I feel like my form is getting good because my tricks feel better. Footed inspinning torque a bunch of times. I'll hit it next session probably. It's a trick that I've always wanted to be able to do. It looks so cool.
