X Games!
Does no one else live for this? It's going into the third day and still no topic on modified! The level of competition is getting so ridiculous these days it is absolutely insane! Talk about the big air comps, the moto freestyle, the new jam format for vert finals, anything!

Don't really care about the games themselves. I mean, yeah, I dig many of the events themselves. I particularly appreciate the freestyle skateboarding and bmx. I just don't follow this sort of stuff, or much else for that matter.
However, WHERE ARE THE GAMES THIS YEAR ??
Several years ago the X-Games were in Philadelphia -- it was a huge event, and it was totally free to go and watch, so a bunch of freestylers got together to go and shred there a bunch. We had a pretty good time, aside from the intensely hot weather and the REALLY bad air quality. That stadium complex, I think, is pretty close to the port and, like, some oil refineries, or something, and you could just taste and feel some foul stuff in the air -- combined with the heat, it was rough going. Still, if the X-Games was nearby and it still had free admission, I'd still be into going there and shredding it down with some other kickers.
edit: ps - is there still a Gravity Games? and if so, where is that event happening?

Loved the format for the park and vert contest. Everyone gets one run, and then split a timed session and your turn ends when you miss a trick or pass your remaining time.
I liked the way there was a xgames network this year, and I had dedicated channels for motorbikes, BMX, skateboarding, etc, in addition to the main coverage.
