I tried looking for the old thread(s), but I couldn't find it. I'm making a new one. If mods find the old one for me, merge this into it.

I like looking at choice footbags a lot more than brand new ones. Yes, brand new bags are beautiful. But broken in choice bags are like fine wines that have aged just right.

I only have two "choice" bags. They're both made by DC. I have a couple other dead bags, but they're taken apart and scavenged for filler.

First one, "Little Dave":

About a year old. It's retired now because I have plenty of other good bags, but I regard this as bag as a child almost. If I take it somewhere it doesn't just get stuffed in a pocket. It was my first good 32.

Second one, "Papa Cleave":

I've had it since like, two weeks before worlds, and it's been a main shred bag since then as well. My favorite bag at the moment and it's still hole-free (although it is showing signs of a couple). This is one that the hackers never ever ever get to touch.

Starting from top to bottom...

1st row: Lonn bag, Matt Cross #48

The Lonn bag was originally from Drew Martin, but he gave it to me so that I can learn how Lonn stitches, and become a better stitcher myself. I did a poor repair job by sewing in a brand new pentagon from the busted one, so it's a bit disfigured. I broke it in further, and now it's fill with holes. The MC bag is actually broken in by Ken Somolinos, since he wanted to use this bag for his routine for Worlds, so I guess I lent it to him for about a month or two. So soft.

2nd row: "Butterball," Wasabi bag #23, Wasabi #6

All of these bags are made by me. Butterball is made from panels that I bought from Fletcher Funk at Worlds. She is an experimental Dada bag. That is, she is the first bag that I experimented on a single thread sewing style. Before Worlds, I did double thread. Wasabi #23 was the one bag I used to play with in the past, but the hexes for this template size broke in way too much for me. Wasabi #6 is my first choicely stitched bag. She pilled and busted holes after 3 sessions, since I made her out of white paisely hexes and saffron.

3rd row: Peng Dada, Pipenberg amaretta, Abshire, Johnny Suderman, Docbag.

This Peng bag is one of my main shred bags. She is choice and loose. I love her.

The Pipenberg amaretta is a sweet, loose-filled bag, but probably too floppy for my tastes. This abshire is my first abshire and first 32, and she's floppilicious. The Suderman bag is choice, but feels plastic-y, since I tried to experiment with it by using New Skin spray to stop it from pilling. The Docbag is choice, but I kind of used some of the lead fill to use for other bags, since I don't usually hold large lead shot.

4th row: Chris Miller bag, abshire, abshire, Hania bag

This is the rainbow sushi bag that Chris Miller stitched for me. In fact, this is probably the first bag he made in this style, which he sold to me. The pattern is really sick for a 32. It's a bit fuzzy, and one of the panels is sewn with the bad sides exposed, but is she oh-so choice. I'm afraid of busting a hole on this 32, to be honest. Third abshire on the left and second on the right. Both are choice. Hania bag is soooooooooooooooo broken in! This is bag is like the best of both worlds: she is a seriously floppy mini, but is so small that filling it to 50 g makes it feel rather full. Therefore, this bag stalls and plays sharp like no other. <3

edit: Two more bags. Both made by me again.

This rainbow 32 used to belong to me, but I gave it to Ken Somolinos as a present in the Spring of this year. It's now retired, and he's requesting me to sew him another one in this pattern (he can wait

). People, this is why Marmalade and Tulip are bad colors. These colors bust holes very quickly. The one on the right is a mini that I used to play with, but it busted holes quickly as well. Eclipse/Cinnabar/Tulip. The strongest color in this bag is actually the Cinnabar. The Eclipse and Tulip busted holes pretty quickly.

Pictured in the back is my Streetfighter and Eskimo Joe bag.

I found more choice footbags, and a couple of retired ones. They're all on my Quantums, the ones that I use for shred.

Right shoe: Wasabi 12 panel, Elemental Freestyler, Jeremy O'Wheel

The 12 panel is choice, but I rarely play with it. I did a messy glue job when I was patching up a busted corner during a refill job, so now it's used for hand kneading and handbag.

Elemental Freestyler is a nice sharp bag, but it's hard to say that it's choice yet. It'll get there. The O'Wheel bag is ANCIENT!

I think I got this bag at the end of 2004, when I was getting into footbag. It's pilling like a maniac, but feels beautiful! Pretty big.

Left shoe: MC bag #64, James Hermey, Brocka bag.

All choice bags on this shoe. MC #64 is a nice sharp bag. Love it. James Hermey had to go through a couple of refill jobs because it seemed a bit too full, but my latest fill combo makes this bag feel like a beauty. Brocka bag was refilled by Pengpeng at Worlds, and man is she CHOICE. It's a shame that one panel is really broken in (it was a planetfootbag logo made with Admiral; the bag is made with Rose Quartz hexes and Midnight pents). But, I just patched it up and she's ready for shred again.

Floor (left to right): preliminary Eskimo Joe bag, oldschool Peng Dada, Pengbag 32. (all retired)

The Eskimo Joe bag was one of his testers that Andrew sent to me in the past. This bag was getting to be soooooooo choice, until some hacker decided to do something stupid and slipped his dumb ass on the bag, scraping her up. Like, a half of the bag is cluttered with patching tape, while the other side looks normal.

The Dada is the second Pengbag that I ever got from her. It was a birthday gift from... last year? 2005? I can't remember. She was CHOICE. I had to retire her when 3 panels busted a ton of holes (all supple facile). I still think Pengpeng should stitch more footbags in this size.

This Peng 32 I got at KICKASS '06, one of my favorite footbag events. She only survived 1-2 sessions.

US NYFAlites love to kill bags.

Alright, I found two more choice footbags. Trust me, I have bags lying everywhere at my home. I managed to find these two in a dusty corner of my room.

Left, mini Wasabi-12 panel. Right, classic Clavens.

The 12 panel was made with the biggest penatgon template that I used for 32s at the time, and wasn't this big really. It was actually very, very small when I found it. Like, way smaller than an abshire a-910. I used poly pellets to stretch it out and killed it within 1-2 sessions of it. It's made with Spanish Gold and is at the stage of pilling really badly. I dubbed her "Kiddy Bread" since the panels puff and pop out like fresh buttery bread that I used to eat as a kid.

The Clavens I remember getting at the first Cornell Jam in 2006. This is a template that David used before he switched to his bigger one nowadays. I would say this bag is pre-choice, since I kind of lost it in the summer when I was cleaning my room. I was in the process of breaking it in then, but now that I found it, I think I will use it as my main shred bag. So nice.

Here are my three most choice bags

From left to right the bags are newest Cale McCoy, just got it yesterday and it's my favorite bag ever. It's far bigger then any other bag I've played with, heavier to, but i love it for that. Hit my first Symposium whirl with it at midnight. Next bag is a Card Burns bag. It's got this special design that causes the pents to get filled with filler when hand messaged. It's my second favorite bag right now. Then theres the Aaron Shepherd bag. I got this one from a friend in a trade in which i gave him a pink and light blue Aaron for one that i thought looked cooler. it's name is sprite. The Card Burns bag is Half and Half, and the Cale McCoy is called Flippity Flop.
