Recognizing places before you actually shred at them
Don't you love it how we recognize places from videos before we actually shred at them? I remember how cool it felt to kick at the Tam-Tam. I can't wait to do it at like the Water Temple or something.

I feel very special when I get to play or see places that footbag places have taken place, and feel somewhat starstruck when it happens as well. Could this thread turn into a list of people's favourite shred places?
Most anticipated places already seen,
-Jorden's session room
-Johnny's shred room
-State College Cleaver locations, including Bevier's basement.
Favourite places that I anticipate seeing...
-Water Temple
-Freedom Shredquarters,
-Prague,
-Gym in Finland, seen in Final Shred, and AA's 10 double down drill.

Most of you won't really relate to this (how sad), but...
Alot of great vid used to come out of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. I used to watch alot of great shredders like Eric Wulff, Carole Wedemeyer, Ahren German, Peter Irish, and others, jamming in certain areas of that park. Apparently, they close the park to motor-vehicle traffic each Sunday, and many bicycle riders and in-line skaters take advantage of this, and they can also be seen in the background of some classic shred videos, adding much character to the shred.
I'm not sure why, but I just never spent much time in San Francisco back in those days, but I finally did make it out there for a couple of visits in the last few years. It was really cool to see a few places in person that I had seen so many times in videos. Huge Deja Vu (all the more-so as I was kicking it with Tu "Huge" Vu and his older brother Tuan Vu
)
Over-all, that felt alot like watching some shred from the Spain-Jam 3 in the Buen Retiro Park in Madrid, and then getting to go the the Spain-Jam 4 in the Madrid the following year and shredding in that same park. Cool feeling, really good time. I hope I get to go back to Madrid some day soon.

I remember seeing some shred video in Prague, I forget who was in it, but there was a clip in an alley where I totally had a beer and some hermaline. A nice little pub next to a tattoo parlor i think...
Being at the water temple was cool. Too bad I was drained. i could hardly hack...
Freedom Shredquarters was awesome to see, and now it's great to recognize the bed I crashed on for about a week
