Handball is my favorite Olympic sport too watch. Seriously I wish it was much bigger in the US, like national sport status big. We got to play it in team sports in High school and it is so effin fun I wish I could do nothing for the rest of my life but play it and the occasional game of basketball maybe.
Does anyone know if they replay the opening ceremony? I missed it and would really like to see it.
USA vs. China Men's Basketball is on tonight. That's a match up that anyone who has an interest in basketaball should watch.
The China vs. USA rival is supposed to be pretty big this year. It has been predicted that China will win the most medals this year, making in the first time in 70 something years that someone besides the US or Russia has won the most. Even though I am from the US, this wouldn't really bother me. Since it's a huge international event, I would like to see more countries bring some glory home.
Oh, and I am really stoked for gymnastics. That's my favorite event to watch
I dug the opening ceremony but a friend suggested Yao Ming should dunk a flaming basketball into the cauldron to light the flame and although the running man was cool, it was no flaming basketball.
female gymnastics was sweet to watch, although I dont think that many of chinas competitors are over 16, and they were debating that on the commentary. when i was watching it.
I watched hand ball as well, It was fun to watch, water polo sucked and was boring.
the olympics rule!
(anyone else watch george bush's interview, and think it was really funny?)
Men's swimming 4x100m freestyle relay was amazing!
Before the race, one of the French swimmers talked smack about the Americans. How they came to the Olympics just to beat the Americans in this race. They were supposed to win too. On paper France's team was the overwhelming favorite to win the race. What happened? The American team was losing pretty much the entire race until the last meter or so where they touched the wall .08 seconds before the French. Haha!
Yea we were about to put on a movie last night before the relay but decided through laziness to keep it on the games. We all went nuts when Jason Lazik (SP) was inching on the French guy. We all went crazy when they won.
