Had a one hour ish session before work this morning. Was alright session until I was running out of time and I told myself I had to do something "epic." I start off by just trying to hit whirl bsos. came within milimeters of it. I dropped the hand catch after the second whirl :( Couldn't get clost enough again. I then proceeded to move on to trying to hit torque. No go. But, I realized where my body has to be facing and I got closer to it. Then I proceeded to try and hit drifter. I applied the body facing and BAM, I finally hit it 8) Didn't have enough time though to really go for bs or bsos. Then I went to work. Thats ma day.

So after hitting drifter yesterday, I decided to watch dave c's dirfter tutorial today to see what I can improve with. I soon realized, I was doing it the more of the wrong way. While it seemed like turning my shoulders gave me the extra spring/speed needed, I guess it might end up being harmful to learning new stuff in the future. I'll play around with it when I can and see what happens

Shredded with a bunch of NJ peeps yesterday. It was rad. I can't wait to do it again. Playing with people is so much better than playing alone.

Hour session today. It was just alright. My strongside stepping got better so I was able to hit blur. Flipside not quite there yet though.

New phone tomorrow :D and possibly new soccer cleats :)

Yay new phone :)
Yay new cleats :)
Yay new spaz bag :)
Yay new jeans :) :?:

Anyway, I'm mostly a happy boy. At least I was until I was kicking then my girlfriend played a big joke on me which was quite scary. She told me she was something that rhymes with eggnant. But after driving to my grandmas to bring her to the mall for her hair cut, then wandering the mall for two hours, then driving home, I'm pretty much fine now

I kicked with NYFA yesterday because my parents were in the city. Had a great time. I got a lot of good advice and I plan on putting it to use.

Highlights:

DLO (finally!)
Paradon bsos (its my lame uptime-first dex paradon, but idc)
PS Mirage (first try :) )
Atomsmasher (Atomic is really leggy, but I like it like that, I'll learn the normal way in the future)
Flail
Pdx Flail (upon request after a few tries)

Now lets talk about what I hit flipside. Oh wait. I didn't :) Well I didn't hit any of the stuff up there minus paradon, but I hit a few smears and such flipside, so I'm happy.

Footbag will now unfortunately be pushed to the backburner due to soccer and work. I'll be very sore from soccer for about a week so I probably won't play until the weekend. And I usually have work most of the day before soccer so we'll see how things work out..

I just had my initial board of review for my eagle scout project. And of course, my plan wasn't approved :( My friend's wasn't either. So I'm supposed to fix everything by next wednesday. Between work and soccer, its going to be quite tough. I just want to go kick for a bit.. Hopefully saturday. We shall see

I played this morning. It made me never want to wait a week before playing again. I could barely do most stuff. Legovers and pickups were fine but thats it. There is also the chance I was rushing too much into everything. But I thought I had a sufficient warmup.. So things got a little better as time went on. I hit a few more DLOs. Almost flipside. Decided to play with the slow motion camera on my phone. No one to hold it so bad positioning but I got a pixie rake on it. It was fun. Once I learn how to use my movie editor I'll make something with a mix of normal and slowmo. yeahh. Summer reading time

Alright, new goal(s)

A. Hit 10 guiltless before school

B. Hit 20 tiltless very soon

C. Hit flux before torque (this one will take a bit of time i think  but its still a goal!)

D. Drill basics in order to do (A) and (B)

Thanks :) I was trying flux before I made that post and most of the time it feels like if I can just fully get around the bag just right then I'd have it no prob. And I bet you could do it before torque too.

Had a soccer scrimmage today and lost. I wasn't played all that much. Ohhhh well.

I then came home and played footbag. I was just kind of messing around since I knew I wouldn't be playing long.

Highlights:

Toe barrage (second dex was quite the. lol. It was one of those times that the bag lands even before the second dex is done)
Clipper set barrage (same situation as above)
Like two drifters strong side. (both had shaky ending)

So after those drifters, I decided to go for it flipside. I came very close. I might've "footed" it if thats the definition. idk. But! I came down quite hard on my support leg and my ankle went boom. Yes, the same ankle that I hurt in the beginning of the summer. I can walk and all that. Just no clippers. I thought my ankle troubles were over :(

DAMN DUDE! sorry to hear about your ankle... that's gotta suck massively.

i dont' know what i would do if i was forced to take a break from footbag...
-i suppose if i had an addiction to it, and my friends set up an intervention for it, then sent me to rehab... i guess then i'd have to stop

but i'm not stopping till i'm better than ... felix?

never stop believing

and get ur ass off that ankle, let it heal faster = better
