those bags are insanely good btw. had another late night session, this time with dave. the shoes/bags made a difference instantly and his form seemed better, too. his only problem now with the basics is setting it, weakside. i didnt hit much although i did squeeze in some decent length tiltless strings and a clipper>osis>clipper>shitty osis. maybe it was because i was already tired but my weakside atws and ratws were complete ass, i tried like 15 or so and hit only 3 or 4. but that'll get taken care of.... amfia style
so yeah one of you guys should definitely kick it up a notch with dave before he leaves for school on tuesday, he might not have another footbagger tp play with for months

Lies. There are tons of footbaggers in Colorado and at this point in his game he knows the drills he needs to do. The same ones you are. I am 100% confident that if Dave is feeling the footbag burn he will dominate the learning curve. He is smart and in great health. Am I correct that he has g-units now? If not, that is key. I am down to teach him footbag if he wants take the time to learn. He has a lot of potential. Have him contact me. I am usually down to play if time can be scheduled and more or less stuck to. Jake and Matt operate on very similar terms. Matt and I participated in the kid's day event today. We didn't really kick much together so I have little idea what he hit.
I schooled spins and gyros. As long as I wait it works.
Goals:
I will make my ducks and dives deeper
I will make spins and gyros at least as consistent as osis.

watup yinz decent session today. i thought i shouldve been able to kick longer though... have a bit of a cold right now. pat seemed like he was a bit intimidated by u guys but also awestruck because he usually plays better and he seemed like he couldnt wait to pass the bag everytime after he got it. good news is that afterward he said he definitly wants to get into it and he even wants me to order him a pair of g6s. ok i have good news for ian since he seemed to really stress the importance of this move or drill of whatever. after giving my legs a rest on the drive home, decided i wanted to kick a few more minutes. after only a few tries, finally hit clipper>osis>clipper>osis really cleanly not quite bs that is i started from a left clipper but all the delays were frozen except for the last osis where i lost my balance but it was on there all right. i figured out that i just need to stop and think reaallly hard in between the osis and the clipper part. that being said i think u can expect me to be hitting it pretty consistantly next session. maybe thats just wishful thinking but i think all i need to do is clean up my osis sets so that they dont end up in front of me every time and i could be hitting a lot more shit out of them other than right toe stall which is my bail after hitting an osis either side lol
also: maybe i asked u this before but what does LOFA mean/stand for?

I played footbag last night with the Zany Umbrella Circus at Hothouse, this big fundraiser party here in Pittsburgh. The party was over the top as usual, with Pgh's youngest and hippest drinking, mingling, and looking good for eachother. Certainly an interesting place to show off a bit. I was wearing long pants (rolled up), a button down shirt with a tie and suspenders, plus a newsboy hat--the circus' uniform of sorts...So there were lots of dexless combos and juggling thrown in for good measure. I think alot of people appreciated it, but particularly anyone with a hackysack background. It was funny to run into people I know who didn't know I could play footbag, seemed to throw a number of people for a loop.
But the craziest part of the night was probably when I was playing in our little space, and all of a sudden AIDEN ran up and was like 'oh my god a footbag player!' It was such a wonderful small footbag world moment! So we shot the shit for awhile and I learned she's in Pgh now. So Aiden, if you're reading this welcome to Pittsburgh and the Steel City scene!
It really is awesome to see how our scene's growing lately...it's really come a long way since the days of just two or three of us kickin' it in a classroom at Pitt, in this city that seemed to not really be conscious of footbag at all.
Now we're doing gigs and getting paid, our logo is out there among our friends and spreading...Matt's become an icon in the community, getting to know everyone in the friendship park area through his everyday practice sessions and even getting in the newspaper...Ian's spinning and dexing behind his back like a madman, Nils is kickin ass at 'this game', and now Aiden's here and the scene seems to just be gaining more and more momentum.
I say this and am sincere in my excitement, although to be honest my involvement in the game has been pretty limited lately. I think all the growth and momentum has made me feel like it's OK to depart from it all a little bit and focus on other things cause it can manage itself on it's own. I shouldn't feel this way though, I should embrace the momentum and help push it forward, cause Pittsburgh is a rad city, and it deserves a rad footbag scene.

The event that Jake describes is definitely hip. It is a fundraiser for an organization that supports local artists.
damn jake props for all of this scf exposure. but i believe its called "that game". just make sure u introduce it to ppl that way lol. oh and nice highlights ian. i kicked with tyler for a bit and hes been practicing so now were schooling clippers together. also hit some real nice pixie legovers, even a couple on my flipsoide, although im a bit frustrated right now just because im hitting all tiltless moves first try no problem, but my strings dont extend far beyond 5 unless i interrupt my flow and concentrate. im sure "that rhythm" will come to me eventually
