Mike Toolan Video

Post by mtoolan »

I made a video today. It's been about a year since my last one so it seemed as good a time as any. As it was uploading I realized there are no fives in this vid, which I think is cool, I'm not really at the point of mixing it up with multiple fives anyway.

Please critique, I could use other people's perspectives. And I apologize for the chopiness towards the end, I using the webcam built into my computer to film.

That far swirl in the beginning was uber bad-ass styley, and I dug the whirl > rev whirls towards the end. Sweet stuff, solid vid 8).

Nice. I don't think there's much to critique actually. You're both sided, your form looks good, style is nice to watch, varied trick selection, clean dexes.

I guess if I was really forced to nit pick, I think you could possibly pull your shoulders back a teense and you might find even better balance. But that's a real stretch because you're definitely not hunching and balance already looks good.

Maybe more complex variations of spins and ducks/dives?

I dunno, if I could have your game, I'd be pretty damn pleased.

So much control over so many concepts. Such consistent both-sidedness.
You seem so uniquely calm at points, even when busting hard. I can really appreciate that. Sort of inspiring actually. Certainly refreshing.

Loved it, you've got some really stylee combos in there. I liked the doublepickup>fairy beater and the solid use of swirl/rev swirl is great.

Nice video Mike. Great moves and a lot of nice drills in there. The music was hypnotic. Thanks for sharing.

Nice video mike. I really enjoyed it.

It looks like you have to rush to finish your tricks a lot. I think this is a result of you being tall and your sets not being high enough. On a lot of tricks you look like you attack slowly at first and then kick it in to high gear towards the end. Its clearly a very minor problem because your style is so strong and your string length is so good, its just food for thought and i hope it helps.
