Thanks for the vid.
I really am puzzled as to why the rule of "hit your first trick you must pass" seems to not be respected in this circle final. In my mind, 3 of serge's runs don't even count. If you hit the first trick you don't get a rebate. This really effects the outcome of the event, seeing as some players have a lot greater odds of busting than others. On most of those rebates he did really great runs that would not have happened if the rule was respected. If the rule was changed for this event thats totally cool and all of the above should be negated. Either way, props to Serge and all the others.

I would also like to add that I thought that you were only allowed 1 pass back per round, when I believe I saw a few to Norek and Sergey Koz.
and there were a few runs (like dave was saying) where they would do 2 or 3 tricks....then drop... and then get a pass back. If im clear on the rules then that shouldnt be allowed right?
1 more thing was self serving in circles I thought wasn't allowed as well.
those are my only qualms.
thanks for the video Mathieu, atleast someone is posting these as soon as possible and getting them to the rest of us, much props to you.

On a more positive note to acxel22 : I REALLY REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE the time you took to post this for those of us that weren't there. REALLY super cool of you to do so. Honestly, THANKS!!!!!
And, sickkkkkkkk shred guys!
If you're serious, that's so freaking ignorant in my opinion. I don't care if you're way better than me at hacky sack, it is what it is.No offence, but it's so wierd to post low quality and shooting footage like that, wich can be used with better editing and camera in future

I think the point was to get footage online as fast as possible for the people who couldn't make it to worlds. Better vids will make it out, but for now the humble masses are just dying to see what happened.SergeyKozlov wrote:No offence, but it's so wierd to post low quality and shooting footage like that, wich can be used with better editing and camera in future

I've taken a LOT of time out of a few of my worlds experiences to do what I can to make the experience more fun for others, and it makes me sad to see any criticisms to mathieu. in case you didn't notice, there were professionals filming all of finals (maybe not circle; haven't watched that video yet) so we will get the High-Quality, pro-filmed experience from them. Mathieu has given us something almost IMMEDIATELY!!!! So, good for him.
thanks again, Math.
BRICK!

Yeah I really appreciated getting the videos so quickly, and when I sort out my paypal (somebody hacked it a few weeks ago and although I got the money back - minus $2 for some reason - I have everything cancelled for the moment) I plan on making a donation of thanks
.
I understand the point being made, but for those of us who aren't at the event, being footbaggers, we're all too impatient to wait for the time spent editing and uploading high quality footage etc.

Edit: whoopsiesAbe wrote:They actually changed the pass back rules for circles this year. If your second trick is completed, ie good upward motion on the bag, and you drop, no pass back. If you drop your second trick, or first, as in previous cases. You still get the pass back.LOFA wrote: From my understanding he should have won circles competition as well but the judges did not intervene accordingly when he repeatedly passed back to Serge, despite his drops after completing his first tricks.

The rule about passback was the same as last year at Worlds (orlando). If you drop before your 2nd "real" trick is completed (starting toe/clipper is not a "real" trick), you have a passback, and it's good for every turn of a round (but only 1 passback per player per turn of course).
