yet another lacing style

hello all,
i tried the lacing styles for footbag that one can find on the web, but they all had their disadvantages. either they were incising, i.e. pulling the eyelets too much together (1,3,4 from ian's shoelace site) or didnt open the front enough (2). I guess all the techniques are ok.. otherwise they werent so popular. still i tried a few variations and came up with the one below that i'm happy with. It opens the front pretty good and does not incise. another advantage is that the lace between eyelets 1and 4 prevent the bag from getting caught at the sides. comments and suggestions welcome

Hey, do you intend on modding your shoes? If you look at Laver Modding tutorials, you will find that the Toe Wall "eyelet lacing cutting" mod will help your toe wall structure immensely.

i like the "cutting the canvas out of the toe" mod the most. Its super rad.

that lacing might perform entirely different once you cut the threads that hold down the walls... do that to open up the box, THEN mess around w/ lacing until you find something that works good.

I still find that the original lacing style works best for me, except that I prefer to skip the last pair of eyelets.

You must do 4 cuts before you will be able to fully appreciate the Laver toe area though. Just cut those stitches that hold together so called "walls" and the toe surface of your shoe. Check out the "Post Your Shoes" thread too, it has lots of photos in it.

Thanks for the ideas and comments! yea i definitly missed to cut the threads that held down the wall. the lacing does hold the shape pretty well even if the threads are cutted. though to get new shoes in shape i added the outside lacing as on the pic. for now i dont want to modify the lavers too much, maybe remove inside canvas.
@jordan: did you mean to remove the mesh or the inner side of the toe area?

That style of lacing may work for Quantums... I'll have to try it

Pretty unique lacing style. Looks good if you haven't modded your lavers yet. I am assuming that you haven't...if you have, then my bad. It is still a good technique though

i guess all sane moddings are done by now: cutting the toe walls and removing inside and toe canvas.
There was one little problem that the bag could stick at the lacing of the toe-wall, so here is a slight modification. starting from the middle one could write it down as:
