The basketball final was super entertaining!!!
Ricky Rubio is gonna be so amazing! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ricky_Rubio
He played with much more brain than any of the NBA stars.
And he is only 17!!!!
Also Kobe really won back my respect. It's amazing how he could completely change his game to be an assist player instead of shooting all the time.
And then still take the lead and put in the important shots when it was really needed.
I might start following the NBA again because of this.

qft. I never follow basketball, ever, but because it was the Olympics, and having watched the USA dominate in most team sports, I had to watch this game (especially in 2:30 in the morning like Danny). It was a really intense and close match-up. I think the game would have been better if they had refs with better eyesight, but you can't ask for everything I guess.Asmus wrote:Also Kobe really won back my respect. USA won gold in men's volleyball against Brazil. It was pretty epic, three sets to one.
The ending ceremony was pretty cool. I wish the Olympics could have been extended to another week. I'll just have to wait for 2.12.2010!

I called Argentina the second best team in the world earlier, but that was false. Clearly the Spaniards take that spot. But whereas the Argentine's are floppers, Spain just throws elbows, which is definitely more entertaining than flopping but lame regardless.
The US looked really tired on defense. The high pick and roll was killing us and that Navvarado guy just kept hitting runner after runner. No one on the US panicked though and tried to do anything crazy, and it was a really fun game to watch. Cool that it was a close game after all the insan e blowouts.
What it shows is that the Basketball world is no longer the USA's to dominate. Well, it is, but playing by international rules and in the Olympic situation doesn't equal a good situation for the US. Hopefully Soccer will be surpassed as the worlds number one sport by this development
