The Laroche Crossing

After much deliberation, I've decided to release the album for FREE! I hope everyone will enjoy this, I've put months and months of work into this and it's great to finally be finished with that project!

For those who don't know my music, I produce various flavors of electronica and instrumental hiphop music. This was produced using Reason and Abelton LIVE, and "mastered" (as much as it's possible for me to do so) using the wavez plugins. It's not perfect, but the quality is good enough.

There are 10 tracks and it runs for 47 minutes, so there should be enough material there not to get old too quick. If you like this, please leave me a comment, I would greatly appreciate it.

A big thank you goes out to everyone who's sent me PM's, e-mails, and messages regarding my music.

I played footbag to the whole CD a couple days ago, which is something I never do. I usually get sick of CDs and switch to the radio.

Once again I wanted to thank everyone who supported me.... actually, want to know how much everyone who's promised to help me out have sent?

Nothing. 1000+ downloads and not a penny.

So all of that above text thanking everyone was a sham. I've recieved quite a few emails or promises of helping me out, but apparently ideas are cheap and so are promises.

This is certainly the last time I post music up on here anyway, or on the net for free... yes, I'm aware I said the album was free, but I did ask for support as well, and even a dollar would be beneficial. If I had a thousand people donate a buck, I'd have a thousand, and I would spend that thousand on rent, lock myself in my studio, and work my ass off to make something greater then ever.

I pored a lot of energy and time, and also ruined myself financially making the album by cutting lots of days off work and having a relationship suffer to get this out.

Instead, I'll just assume that people generally won't lean towards being good guys and just not put music up and work at it towards a different angle.

If I sound bitter, it's because I am.

Blah sorry for the outburst if anyone is offended by my rant, it's been a bad day.

For the good news, thank you so much Matt and Susan (not sure who you are, to be honest, but thanks!) for being one of the first!

Maybe I just needed to stick a... stick in the hornets nest? Maybe it's just karma? Or my incredible good looks and smooth as the devil voice, like velvet rubbed the right way?

Personally, I lean to the good looks thing, but I'd also like to think people like my beats.

Wow donations are going strong, I wasn't really expecting this haha. To Johhny: Thanks for donating, I appreciate it and I'm glad you liked the CD!

There's an incredibly talented piano playercalled Cecil Harding who has done lots of soundtrack and studio work who wants to add his own piano touches to my tracks! For everyone who's sent me a donation, once this is done look forward to receiving some "remixes" of a few of my tracks.

Thank you to everyone again, it's good to know people care even though I don't play much footbag these days and am not really in touch with community.

Hey, I DID hit Symp Torque > Symp Whirling Swirling Dragon > Rev up, so the rust is there but hopefully there's no tarnish.

Take it easy guys, I'll update this thread with some other news which might be brewing musically.

I'm working on another side project called The Laroche Appreciation, which will be 3-4 additional tracks that I will be giving to everyone who donated. I'm not putting an ending date to this, because I want to take my time and make sure each track is quality.

In my opinion, based on the work I've put into it so far, it's going to blow away any track from my cd...

Hope you guys enjoy listening to the cd as much as I enjoyed making it!
