I know modified has a few good guitar players. What are some good fundamental songs to learn for the guitar? I find myself drawing a blank on the search bar on ultimate guitar because I can't think of any good tabs to look up. Except video game music

I found that the easiest songs for me to learn were Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Talent, Pixies, and a couple Radiohead songs (the earlier, simpler Radiohead stuff) Plus, they were songs I could sing to, which was challenging at first, but is really really fun to do even if you don't think you have the voice. That's not really a suggestion, but rather an example of how I started playing. I don't really have any suggestions, other than just listening to a lot of music then deciding "I want to play that." You can always go back and work on certain skills, but I think the most important part of learning to play any instrument is getting addicted to it first, then deciding to develop more.
Well, I've been playing 5+ hours a day for the past week or so. I mostly just like to improv and work on scales. I've been trying to learn chords, but to be honest, they just aren't fun. If I wanted to play chords, I'd use my keyboard. I don't know how to fix that.

Chords were fun for me when I was playing them in songs. Don't just say "I'm going to learn the A major chord today" and just play it over and over. And I'd say even if you don't like playing chords, I'd say at least learn the basic ones.

But since your asking about what songs to learn how to play, I would suggest any old rock or blues.
Some artists might include:
-ACDC (cause its just simple power chord rock which is fun to play)
-Jimi Hendrix (cause its Jimi...)
-Stevie Ray Vaughn (personally I like to play his songs more than Jimi's cause well I like SRV's take on Jimi's style of playing.)
