NFL 2008-2009
The Chiefs have already made me proud by hurting Tom Brady and getting him out for the rest of the season.
Actually I'm kidding, it's going to suck not seeing good footbal all season now. Sorry bostonites. That was such a pussy hit though, the guy was crawling towards him and he's out for the season?

It will be interesting to see what happens in New England over this season & next. Is Randy Moss gonna get all sullen & quit? How will Brady bounce back? They should still be a good team w/their running game & defense, though. I'd still pick them to win their division but my predictions are usually wrong so there you go.
I had the Bears written off, but they beat the Colts somehow. This week they play against the Panthers, who upset the Chargers last week, so if the Bears win this game I'd expect a lot of "the Bears are back" hype. I don't think they're back. Back to the 2005 season maybe, if Forte can play this well consistently.

Bears offense is looking surprisingly proficient so far. Nice to see the unit stay on the field & chew up time, even if the defense/special teams are putting up the points.
I didn't know Kyle Orton could throw the ball fifty yards. Sweet.
Hester's fast but he'll have to run better routes & show better hands if he'll be anything more than a decoy or ball-carrier on end-arounds & reverses. Edit - he did just pick up a first down on a nice underneath route. Don't remember seeing that from him before.

Is it just me, or did this week make a lot of teams look bad? Cleveland - not for real. Jets - not for real. Bears, Vikings, Colts, all looked like they weren't playing up to their potential. Bengals are terrible (not that I expected much). Jacksonville's 0-2. San Diego's 0-2.
It is only week two. I'm sure of some of those teams will turn things around. And there's still tonight's game. I really hope the Cowboys aren't on their way to another Super Bowl run. Seems like the NFC East is stacked with good teams and every other NFC division is crappy. I mean... the Cardinals could win their division. What is the world coming to?

as a chargers fan surely you jest? they got robbed two weeks in a row! The rams are just so god awful and of course I picked steven jackson first in both leagues (with 3rd and 4th pick) that they can't even get a single drive down the field. The colts lined is massively banged up and they are plagued by injuries, so this was expected. I think the jets look pretty good and Cassel is not turning the ball over which gives the Pats a great chance at winning any game. The vikings definately look like they can be great with their defense and AP running over teams but they are gonna need some help at WR to prevent teams from stackign the box. The cowboys / eagles look really good this year; tonight is gonna be a great game.Frank_Sinatra wrote:Is it just me, or did this week make a lot of teams look bad? Cleveland - not for real. The Bills are gonna be a good team this year. The Jets are not going to be very good, teams are not just QB's. You can't give a 4-12 team Farve and expect them to be a 12-4 team. The pats will be just fine not as good as they could be but they still might take the division. The Chargers will be fine too, they will win there division for sure, it might be the weakest in the NFL.
