Not all kids kick on a basketball court in a gym or on a track. In truth most practice time happens in the alleyways or the streets.
Rugged. The kinda place where a flashflood or a dog could threaten the life of your bag at any moment. You dont wanna risk your prize 32
on a day like that! So away from the realm of ideal kicking environments, I've begun to offer a mix denim and leather.
I try to use the softest pieces of leather, about double the thickness of suede, and some sturdy denim that wont give up the fight.
Aside from my double threaded upholstery stitches, the new 26ers feature size #7 steel balls, made weighty so they break in well.
I have the original tic tac toe design, and now a windmill octagon pattern that is approaching a sweet spot.

A scavenger, recycler, most of the material I use has been labeled 'junk'. I like to think however, that the final product is not. Only you can decide for yourself.

A serious inquiry...

Post by sonofgenkai18 »

Hey,

So I'm an advanced beginner from Tacoma, WA. I've been playing for over a year, been to two events, and took 3rd in Intermediate Big Trick this year at the USO, so I'm definitely hooked.

I've actually been looking for a new bag that I could possibly get for free/cheap. All three of my bags were stolen out of my truck along with the backpack they were in so I've been at a total loss for the shred lately

:(

If you're serious about giving this bag away, please PM me. It would be for a great cause. :)

Thanks,

Matt McLaren

foot in mouth

I'm learning it's not a good idea to let any feelings into the game. Just for the record I got a BIG package today from Matt (sonofgenkai18) All the denim he had been promising me. You came through, and I just want everyone to know that you're a good guy. I don't know why I wasn't trusting you, and hope you accept my apology.

Really, thanks for all the denim. Sorry I made the trade such a headache.

You don't need to make it sound like I don't appreciate the bags Andre. You said yourself they weren't really made for much freestyle. I'm not a picky person at all, but if I can't play with them, I can't play with them. there's nothing I can do about it. I still carry one of your bags with me everywhere I go man, so again, thank you for the generosity.

and I took your advice and bought a bag from Jerab. Sorry your denim hasn't arrived yet. There's a hiccup in the process but you'll get them soon. I promise.

later.

for the record...

..and to keep this clear for anyone else reading this as to keep from sullying my so far good name...

Two practice bags for the 8 legs of good denim I'm sending you is not you generously mailing me two bags for free.

You said yourself they were $5 bags. The denim I'm sending you is worth much more than $10 all together.

This is a trade... a more than fair one I believe.

Thanks again.

Hey Matt,

I take it back, I know you appreciate what I sent you, and I'm sorry that I made that sound kinda mean. I guess for a few days I was feeling like I got taken advantage of. Circle bags or not, they took time. Just to hear that you couldn't use them was a little bit of a put down. I trust that the denim is in the mail, and I hope you will still let me try to make you a freestyle bag. Immense as my collection is, it's still growing. I'm doing the best I can, but for one reason or another letting my negative thoughts get the best of me.

On the fifty panel, I found a kid up in NY that might be a candidate. He's the same age that I started kicking, and knows what it takes to make a ball. His parents cut off his spending so theres really no chance he'll be able to buy a great bag from jerab or MC, but you know I like to barter.

No hard feelings matt, really, it was my bad.

-->Andre
