change of plans, we're using the park across the street from my house for convenience, for the ready-made 4 square court, and because of one other thing that has a lot to do with my lazyness...but the park across the street from my house is honestly a better spot anyway.
as far as a backup, indoor spot, i have a room downstairs (where church is held every sunday, actually) that if it was raining we could use as an indoor spot for shred and comps (WHICH ARE ON SATURDAY), however the most footbaggers it would be able to fit comfortably playing at the same time would probably be like 20. its like maybe a tiny bit smaller than that dance studio NYFA uses with the mirror on the wall and the weird bathroom. but it has a good tiled floor, good lighting, sound system, heating and A/C, and obviously bathrooms and a few refrigerators. my house is very easy to get to off the highway (93) as well. let me know if anyone needs help with directions n shit.
STUFF TO BRING-
-footbag gear...dont forget AT LEAST 1 pair of shorts, shoes, bags, etc
-5 dollars if youre just shredding and not competing, 10 dollars if you are competing
-money for food, beer, etc
-sleeping bag, pillow, blanket
-stuff for the party (remember, green is decriminalized in MA )

If I can get a decent price flight, I will definitely be there.
March would be terrible, it's still gonna be snowy and I'll be busy with work. April will still be a little bit chilly, but workable. Potential conflict with Montana Jam, do not make me choose! Not sure of the college schedules these days but people may be busy with final exams in early May. So my vote is for late May.
Venue? Boston Common? I'm excited to see how this plays out. Let me know if you need any help doing the event planning.

I know I recently wrote that I doubt I'll ever go to another event, but this could combine to be the perfect storm.
A) It's peeeeeeeeeeeeeete bowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwler! (in the voice of that guy that announces detroit pistons games) So I have to try.
B) I'm planning another Boston visit to see my buddy (like last year) in the spring time, so it could be very convenient.
I picked May because I think you'll have the highest chances of good weather, and shredding outside is fun.
(PS - Drew, if it works out, maybe we can share gas cost at least one way or something)

Mason is very cool.
On that note, I think we should do May, son. I'd prefer an outdoor jam, and I doubt that'd be possible before May.

yeah im gonna have it on the most random weekend in may, so travel and hotels will be as cheap as possible. i might even call a few hotels and ask when they will be the cheapest in may.
i have one potential back-up indoor spot and im going to work on another to make sure, because the one i have lined up we could only use on saturday, and only has room for about 20 shredders comfortably.

When exactly do people have May finals, like last weekend in May? I'll be on co-op so as long as I stay local I'll be here and have available crash space. I might be able to swing something at NU for an emergency rain venue. Either way, I'll be sure to steal lots of food from the dining hall. No footbagger shall go hungary!

I'll graduate from college by then, so [heck] yeah I'm down!

"Footbag can be pretty frustrating when it's supposed to be fun. I was partly driven by this forum - practice, practice, practice... As that is true, I think someone can be too focused on progressing and training that they miss the fun aspect of it." - Bander87
