I was curious since i only started stitching footbags about a week ago, how long does it take people to:
1.cut out panels(32)
2.Stitch the entire footbag.
3. Cut out panels and stitch the footbag together.
Also, if your like me then you could definatley use any advice on cutting out panels any tips or tricks or anything. cause im slow at this im talking like kindergartener slow.
If you want to save time on cutting out panels, you can always fold over the fabric and cut more than one at once. This method is somewhat wasteful of your fabric, however, and you lose the accuracy of cutting out individual panels. For stitching, it's good to take your time. I've been doing it for about four months, and it takes me two hours to stitch one bag. Take your time and focus on equal placement of stitches and even gather, and your bags will come out well. Hope this helps, Gary
I have never stitched a 32 panel bag before (I have done 4-14 panels though). From what i have heard it takes about 1hr 30mins to actually stitch a bag, another 30min to cut out the panels. So around 2hrs total is what I would say. It is not bad if you are slower than this, as I would take probably 4hrs plus to make a 32 panel Hope this helps.
For me, it takes way longer than an hour and a half to stitch a 32. I have made 3 so far (two good ones).
-20 minutes to trace pattern
-30 to cut
-6 hours to stitch
-5 minutes to fill
-around 7 hours total. Maybe more.
For your first 32, it will take a long time. Maybe its just me...
