Hmmmmm, footbag updates.
I can't wait for New Years Jam. I am incredibly psyched for it, and i love all the money I'm saving. First time actually saving money efficiently.
So i've got a few potential freestylers at the school i go to for my advanced classes, and they're all pretty cool people. They can all hit clipper, and one of them can hit butterflies and atw's and mirages... It's just crazy. It's funny, because like all of them have my old shred shoes. I guess I'll just tell the story. Then i got some amazing footbag highlights (at least for me) from today, so stay tuned.
Ok, i have a semi-stepbrother (Branden) who goes to Phoenix High School. Now i taught him how to do toe stalls, mirages, and legovers.
Since i wasn't going to that school at this time, i had no idea he was planting the seeds for possible footbag talent there.
So recently I've started taking a few advanced classes there (because my school doesn't offer them) and I've found that like almost everybody who hangs out with Branden can do toe stalls relatively well.
There are three people that I'm interested in. Branden, Branden, and Jack. ( I know right, two Branden's. To save any confusion, The Branden i taught will be reffered to as Branden #1, and the Branden Branden #1 taught will be reffered to as Herald.)
Alright, so Branden #1 shows potential, he's got awesome toe stalls, and can hit mirage both sides like whenever he wants. I recently taught him legover and clipper. Clipper had always been a hard trick for him, so i felt happy when he hit it at school today relatively easily.
Herald, i think, could be a great freestyler. I'd never heard of him from Branden #1 before i came to the school, but the first time i played with him he hit Butterfly, Bsos Clippers, and Bsos ATW's.
Jack is of particular interest to me, because he has the most ankle crank out of the three. I asked him to get into the frigid osis position, and he's definitely got potential for it. He recently hit clipper for the first time on his second day trying it. I'm hoping to teach him ATW's, Mirages, and his flipside clipper next (Which he actually came close to)
Anyways, whats really funny is that Herald and Jack have my old shred shoes now. I'm a pretty generous person, and since i see potential in these guys, i just gave them my old shoes. Herald has my Lavers, and Jack has my very first pair of Quantums.
It makes me feel awesome to see all of them in a circle wearing footbag shoes (Branden #1 has Lavers he bought)
So yeah, thats basically whats going down with footbag life.
Now, those highlights i was talking about earlier.
I just had a super spur of the moment session. After consuming multiple slices of pizza and three glasses of pepsi, i felt there was something i should be doing.
Footbag was the answer.
So i went out, and played in the dim light of our back porch as the sky slowly descended into darkness.
I hit two awesome things..
Highlights

Rev Swirling Dbl Pickup (Like Rev-up, but an extra dex)

Rev Swirling Legover (Rev-Over)
I couldn't link very well, but i was having fun messing with rev swirls. Using that trick as a set is so freaking hard. Rev Swirling Far anything is so ridiculously hard, shot!
I also hit a bunch of Dbl Legovers. I never throw that trick, so it felt good doing them.
Dbl Downs are freestyle footbag.
But yeah, I'm psyched for New Years Jam.
Oh Yes.
