Anti-depressants

Post by CowSack »

I was on lexapro for a year for depression.

But I find that it was a bunch of shit.

I never had panic attacks before, on lexapro I would randomly wake up at night and have one....weird

And from the first time taking it, I couldn't stop moving my legs, otherwise it just didn't feel right. I guess that's called restless leg syndrome.

And sleeping was always a nightmare.

I stopped feeling the "positive" effects of it, so I had my doctor double the dosage to 20 mg.

Terrible. The "positive" effects could no longer be felt, but all the side effects were doubled.

Last night I took a double dosage because I just wanted to see if it was my imagination every other day I took it the months before.

I guess not, because I woke up 4 hours after taking 20 mg and had a panic attack, weird thoughts, monotonous thoughts, depression from an anti-depressant, and restlessness all over my body, mainly in my legs. I was rolling around in my bed for 4 hours....

When the medication you're on isn't working or isn't working for you, you're supposed to talk with your Dr. and try something else. That's the standard with medication in general. If your Dr. doesn't want to switch your medication, you should see someone else.
