yeah thats correct bob
here's my post again:
Ok so at this point the jam is slated for the last weekend in April. I called the boston parks dept. and found out what i have to do to reserve the section of the park i want to, that should be no problem. I have a indoor backup spot confirmed for saturday already, and sunday we'll probably be playing at either Northeastern Univ. or MASSART, and i have tentative indoor and outdoor locations for either one. MASSART has a big, active video dept, one section of which focuses on sports videos, and they have already expressed interest in shooting, etc.
Information I Need, Bitches:
If you're a member of the BSC, please post how many footbaggers you would be able to let crash at your various places of residence. (i can let at least 3 people crash at my place, but theres no smoking or drinking, so anyone that wants to have a quiet place to go at the end of the day and probably like eat some breakfast in the morning should say whats up to me)
everyone post confirmations in this thread as usual as soon as youre sure youre coming, and i'll start a list in the first post.
what competitions you want want to do.

So who all thinks they're gonna make it to this bitchin event?
I can sign in 3 people that need crash space, and I could probably get one of my suitemates to sign in more people if necessary. Depending on whether or not I have a new roommate by the jam, I might have an open bed. Otherwise there's a couch (somewhat comfortable, especially if you're inebriated) and plenty of floorspace.
HYPE!

I'll keep an eye out for cheap tickets but right now it looks like more than I'm willing to pay.
I would not need crash space, of course.
Pete I'm glad you're doing so much to promote the sport up in Boston. When you have a poster/image set up for the event let me know and I'll pass it along to everyone I know up there, and ask them to spread the word. Even if I can't make it myself.
By that way, that guy a couple posts up wrote the book on putting together a tournament. I would make sure you put it to good use...

dudes, I might arrange that.. I could make it to this Boston-Jam! Haven't really planned my trip yet.
On my footbag-tournament list so far are:
Montana Freestylejam 28th may
When will Rochester Smyp be?
Boston Jam late April, right?
It would be fantastic to shredup this boston jam... my trip starts in beginning april, mid april in NYC or Montreal maybe even Boston.
Anyways. Ken, I gotta watch a Celtics game with you!
Just confirm the date and I'll be there! wuha! DTank man, we finally get the chance to play footbag again.. yeha
(I am too euphoric)

yeah im not too sure about shirts. they seem to be the biggest pain in the ass and money pit involved in a jam. like thats why when you go to a tournament they charge you like 35 bucks and youre not even competing. so yeah unless we can get them made for real cheap (in which case they'd be real shitty anyway) then i dunno maybe we'll get like black armbands or something haha.

Hey Footjam, normally the rochester symp is the second to last weekend in April, or at least it has been the last couple years, which is funny because it is aptly named GRASS on 420 or so. So, if you're looking to schedule events, you may have a great two weekend run at it

WORD.
everyone cool should come to the beantown jam, i swear to god its gonna be one of the sickest jams youve been to in awhile, im gonna make sure of it. the party is going to be ridiculous (fran, we HAVE to have it at your apt. no question), i want to get a group together that wants to go to this local bowling/pool/arcades place http://www.bostonbowl.com/ (you can listen to how andrew and his college buddies like to hang out!) that is actually pretty friggin badass, and all the shred locations are going to be ideal. any suggestions or whatever please let me know.

thats where we're playing saturday, weather permitting. i already called the boston parks dept. and they told me to file an application and it should be no problem to reserve the track that day. and just on the extended parts of the track at both ends there's enough room for like 40 footbaggers. its right off rt 93, one of the major highways in boston, a 1 minute walk from a subway station, its close to my house, and it has plenty of free parking and bathrooms around.
literally my house is like less than like 15 blocks from that park, and i have a room downstairs (where church is held every sunday, actually) that if it was raining we could use as an indoor spot for shred and comps (WHICH ARE ON SATURDAY), however the most footbaggers it would be able to fit comfortably playing at the same time would probably be like 20. its like maybe a tiny bit smaller than that dance studio NYFA uses with the mirror on the wall and the weird bathroom. but it has a good tiled floor, good lighting, sound system, heating and A/C, and obviously bathrooms and a few refrigerators. my house is very easy to get to off the highway (93) as well. let me know if anyone needs help with directions n shit.

hm, well i honestly dont know anything about grass this year.
but in other news the jam finally has an official name, as you can see. and i decided there will definitely be at least 50 bucks prize money for the winner of circle comp at the very least. and most likely a few prize bags and whatever.
