Update: Played for the first time in a week yesterday with Cale. Was pretty fun. No real highlights, except for Sailing Mirage, Sailing Muted clipper, and Sailing Butterfly, other then that it was just kind of a rehabilitation session. Going to have to start warming up for NYJ.
I finally got my room situation squared away, going to be staying with the Vegas couple, Zac Miley, and Matt Kemmer i think? Anyways, the entire event will be awesome. I just wish i knew how much money it would be smart to bring. I'm arriving on the 25th, and leaving on the 31st, so five days. I would need money for food and hotel room costs, so I'm thinking it would be really smart to bring around 200$ or more, i hope i can raise that much money by then...
See everyone in December!

Well, i haven't raised 200$ yet, in fact, I'm only at 110$. But I'm optimistic.
Today i hit Symp Whirl with a 1/4 full water bottle. First time in a long time footbag has given me that kind of joy. Felt really really sweet.
Anyways, also did some basketball freestyle and managed some ok stuff.
Legover bs
ATW
b2b Clippers
It was fun, i can see why Vasek would spend a lot of his time with soccer freestyle.
The session was good today, though the floor was slippery. Hit Plasticman again, and got the Toe Blur>Trip link for Blubberman, i hope to hit this before or during NYJ. Speaking of which...
23 days until i leave for Chicago...
Looking forward to seeing you all there.
Aaron thanks for coming out and shredding with us last weekend, that was really cool. Shawnell has gotten way better, and you busted some sick stuff.
G'night.

Not much new developments with footbag except smog bsos, and i hit, osis and ducking clipper with a bi stuffed animal tiger. So that was cool.
BUT, the real reason i posted this is because I'm excited. I auditioned today for the school musical, and our choir has a concert on Tuesday, and I'm making like the coolest friends, and life is just looking really up for me. Happy happy happy.
I'm discovering that besides footbag, singing/music in general is a big passion of mine. I love playing the piano, and I've been doing it for six years. It's funny because i can play really really well, but i have very little knowledge of music theory. Thats another thing, I'm going to be learning music theory soon, so that's going to be awesome.
Basically High School just went from lame to super awesome in a few weeks.
Can't wait to play some footbag tomorrow, gotta catch up to Manna.
14 days until i leave for Chicago......I recently gained 50$, so now i have 160 for the trip. Hopping to have a little more before i leave.
Exciting times these be. Wish me luck for the musical.

Eggbeater bsos
Torque>Ripwalk>Rpt
been working on eggs and DLOs a lot recently. Trying to improve my toe game. It was great seeing the fruits of my labors and being able to actually hit some eggbeaters midstring.
going to get some lavers today, my quantums are slowly falling apart, and i want to have some ok condition shred shoes for NYJ. Speaking of which.

Recently my mom pointed out to me that the majority of my blog posts are in the middle of night. I'm going to continue that tradition by making this post at approximately 2:25 AM pacific time.
New Years Jam was a great experience for me, though reflecting on the somewhat 5 days I was there I feel it could've been a crap load more of an experience.
Lets start from the beginning.
Christmas eve. All the adults in the house are having a grand ole' time drinking and listening to music and just overall being marry. I had just opened my Christmas presents on the account that i am leaving at 6 o'clock on Christmas day. I got a new monitor (Huge surprise, mind you) a DVD box set of the old TV show "Howdy Doody (My dad is ridiculous) and a box of Grapefruit Vanilla incense. I was happy with the incense enough, but upon opening the box I discovered 75 dollars wrapped around the scented sticks. This boosted my Chicago fund from a measly 180$ to a not as measly 255$ This made me very happy, and I am eternally grateful to my family for it. After opening my gifts I swiftly retreat to my room where I hook up my new monitor and promptly proceed to watch a footbag video. The resolution is higher on my new monitor, but that won't save my computer from the crap heap it is. Still no HD videos for me
. I quickly shook off this minor disappointment and began packing procastinatingly. It took me multiple hours to pack all my clothes, my toothbrush, tooth paste, hair dryer, comb, camera, juggling balls, quantums (just in case) and many other misc objects i can not think of right now. With everything packed i threw the case onto my bed as to keep the cats from using it as target practice during the night. I strategically placed it against the wall so that it didn't hinder my sleeping ability. I then switched off the lights and turned towards my bed, walking confidently towards my night slumber patch through the dark.
Morning
I awoke at 4:00 AM pacific time and realized that due to a lack of thought the previous night i had to unpack my hair dryer so i could take a shower. I labored to retrieve it from my pack as I had packed it under some clothes, a towel, and my camera. After probing the depths of my roller-case for a couple seconds my hands came into contact with the sleek black gun shaped hair heater I had come to depend on. I pulled it out, displacing the various items placed above it. The shower was nice.
After my shower i quickly donned my bathrobe and began fixing my hair. Fixing my hair can take anywhere from 2:00 minutes to 5:00 minutes. upon finishing this task another realization hits me, i had to brush my teeth, but i had packed the new toothbrush i got the night before. My mind was constrained for split seconds as i considered going and unpacking the new toothbrush when I had a perfectly fine "old" toothbrush at my immediate disposal. Now for any other new toothbrush this would've been an easy decision for me. But this particular new toothbrush was equipped with a spinning middle brush that gives you're teeth cleaning hand extension extra cleaning power against the evils of plague. This was almost enough for me, but time was of the essence and i had to get prepared for the long journey ahead of me. I grabbed my "old" toothbrush and distributed some cinnamon flavored toothpaste onto the bristles, being careful not to let any of the valuable cleaning agent drip off the unstable platform extending from the grip of my fingers.
I exited from the bathroom feeling accomplished. Teeth brushed, hair blow dried, over all cleanliness achieved. My next task of the morning was to nourish my body with the familiar taste of two carbohydrate disks. "Normal" people call them waffles. As i made my way from the bathroom entryway, making sure to close the door behind me, i remembered one terrible flaw in my plan. People were sleeping in the room extending from the kitchen, and me making any noise or turning on any lights would surely disturb their comfortable slumber. I slouch a notable amount and turn to retreat to my room. My breakfast opportunities cut down to #1 banana, or #2 The other banana. Needless to say, i chose the banana.
Upon re-entering my room I began to dress myself in proper attire for the trip to come. Underwear-> socks -> jeans -> undershirt -> overshirt -> belt -> tucking in of the overshirt -> shoes -> and i am ready for anything disregarding anything violent. After going through the morning ritual of attaching my cloth garments I went and sat down at my computer, waiting for my mom and step-dad to descend upon my dwelling and whisk me off on the 6 hour drive to Portland where a plane was waiting to lift me into the air gifting me with my first experience of the miracle of flight.
They arrived shortly.
As soon as my mother entered the room and saw what i was packing with, she froze for a microsecond but quickly regained her composure. I saw it though, she can't hind anything from me. She was angry. She promptly began to unpack everything i had labored on the night before and instructed me to put everything into a carry on bag. I was told that anyone under 16 can not check in luggage. I soon discovered that this was an untruth, and that i had repacked for no reason. My mom was not aware of the rule though, so it is not her complete fault. Anyways I was forced to say my goodbyes to my hairdryer, my towel, and my quantums. All the things that were truly precious to me i was forced to leave behind. An invisible tear dripped from my cheek that morning. My sorrow was soon forgotten as i climbed into my step-dads Prius preparing for the long arduous journey ahead of me. I had my Zune, and book, and nothing but time to sleep through.
(6 hour car drive)
Arrival
The airport was awe-inspiring. I can only liken it to a mall foodcourt with giant windows unveiling a slew of giant miracle machines. My first time ever consciously being in an airport. Wow. We ordered pizza, which is probably the best food in the entire sentient world. The best part was i didn't have to spend any of my money! My step-dad was paying for my food at the airport and for my flight. He is seriously one of the nicest people I've known, and my mother made a good choice in regards to love. After devouring the slices of delicious nourishment i required to function properly I announced that i had to use the bathroom facilities. My mom kindly obliged to watch over my belongings as i went to fulfill that one basic human need that everyone inherently has. Nature was indeed calling this day.
(Epic bathroom adventure)
After reliving myself i reunited with my belongings and walked to the security checkpoint. This is the point where i would officially start my journey. Alone. I gave my mom one last hug and thanked Jeff again for what he had done for me. Then i stepped into the line, and i was officially on my own. Security was really something. I will refrain from using profanity in regards to this subject. At first i was thinking it would be alright, that it wasn't as bad as everyone had said it was. It was. Shoes had to come off. Belts had to come off. Pockets emptied. Everything haphazardly thrown into trays and rolled through an X-Ray machine. I won't lie, i feared that my wallet would not emerge on the other side of the roller bottomed tunnel.
One thing i forgot to mention earlier. This entire time i had been wearing a huge Red Army jacket from China. Taking it off and getting it into the little tray for the security screening really really sucked. It was quite a bother.
Anyways, after the whole security process i proceeded to my gate and planted my hind-quarters on one of the waiting waiting chairs. As i was waiting, my excitement growing with every minute, it started to snow. It was no big deal at first, but the flakes soon began to grow in size until they were dominating everyones field of vision. The sudden and plentiful fall of melted water flakes worried me, but i remained optimistic for the sake of enjoying the trip.
After boarding the plane I quickly realized why some people hate flying. I wasn't expecting the cramped quarters. My predicament wasn't made any better by the fact that there was no more space in the carry-on storage cabinets. I was forced to stuff my two carry on bags under the seat in front of my and my own. The jacket occupied all of my lap space, leaving me to feel rather constrained to say the least.
After getting settled in and ready for flight the captain comes on the loud speaker to inform everyone that there will be a delay to the recent snow fall, and ice. Whats worse is that he later informed us that the ice plowers had been sent home earlier that day, causing more delays for us. Long story short we were delayed for about an hour. It didn't bother me much though. The delay gave me time to get ready mentally for the experience of take off, and ultimately of flight.
The hour was up, and the plane was taxiing onto the runway. It was about to begin. All my preparation and planning had come down to this one moment. I would be leaving Oregon behind and going off alone into a strange and unknown world the likes of which i had never experienced for myself. The planes engines roared, acceleration, passengers being pressed back into their seats. This was it. I was going to New Years Jam.
I'll continue the writeup sometime later.
Thanks for reading.
