Hello, Modifriends!

I've just finished the first version of my newest Footbag project. It's a website made in Web 2.0 technique where you can find Footbag videos, photo galeries, articles and websites. At the moment everything is only in Polish language but it's really easy to understand how to navigate without knowing Polish.

Please, write here your thoughts about such a website. Do you think it was good idea to create it? Should I add English language? Will you visit it often to know what's going on on the Polish Footbag scene? Write here also your ideas what could I add to the website and report bugs if you find one.

Cool site, way to really embrace web2.0. I've subscribed to the RSS feed. Yes, everything is in Polish, but I still watch the videos. English would be nice, but don't feel obligated to create an English version.

I thought it was great that you posted Nick Landes' video on there. I know he doesn't travel abroad much or at all, so I think it's great that Polish kids will be able to see his unique style and great shred ability.

I'm liking the way web 2.0 is starting to catch on in footbag land. Missoula just relaunched their site with a cool blog, and with their help I'll be creating an Austin site/blog pretty soon.

The front page design reminds me more of user generated content sites rather than community sites, which is a surprising choice. Tag cloud and movies stream seems redundant if the content doesn't change daily, I'd be interested to hear how this arrangement works out for the community, if they like this arrangement, since I'm thinking of developing a web 2.0 site for our community as well.

Regarding the language issue, you could easily add English support using Google translator. A poor translation but gives a good impression of what the original text is all about.

On a side note, my friend wrote a web 2.0 site for the local snowboarding community, and he said that once he added a "picture of the day" thingie on the front page, which draws a random picture every day from the users galleries, people started going to the website very often to upload pictures and see if theirs was chosen. I figured that the same thing could work for a local footbag website, maybe adding a video of the day as well.

There are few reasons why I chose to design this website like that.

1. I wanted to create a database of Footbag resources which is really well searchable. I think tagging is just great for such a thing.
2. I wanted to create a webpage about Footbag which will be really well accessible for Google robots. As far as I know Web 2.0 pages are heaven for these robots .
3. I wanted to create a dynamic website which will be really easy to update daily. There are so many good Footbag videos and every day we see new ones. Adding one or two videos everyday will be really cool for users and took less then 10 minutes for me.
4. I wanted to give Polish players who don't read Modified or don't search Youtube or don't go to tournament outside of Poland (and there are a lot of them) an oportunity to see videos from abroad (for example Nick Landes video).
5. I wanted to try something new and to learn something. It's my first Web 2.0 project and one of the very first website created using a PHP Framework.

I hope people will use this website or at least Google will index it cool so new players could easily find good Footbag resources.

I think in future I will add English version but first I'd like to know if the idea was ok .
